The fact that I'm also going to be happy when I die.Which at my age of 71 shouldn't be all that far away.Maybe 10-15 years if I'm lucky. Why do you think I'm trying to catch up with all these answers on Yahoo?Youth is wonderful, but boy do some of you young people make your life complicated. But then so did I. I know there are some things I wish I'd done better. But the most awe inspiring years are ahead of the young. All those modern inventions.Cures for Cancer,Diabetes,Death even.Flights to unexplored planets. It will be up to you to stop wars forever. Try and not blow up the Earth will you.It is a beautiful place to be in.

Happy is a relative term that must be compared to the feeling you get from another experience. For example if I wake up next to a beautiful woman, I'm happy, because I don't normally wake up to a beautiful woman, so that experience is better then the norm. Since I've never experienced what it is like to be dead, I cannot tell you what makes me happy about being alive.

What makes me happy to be alive is the fact that I can do more each day to make my life a little better. I recently had some serious health problems and not sure I would make it back to my world. I get to try and make sure I do all I can to stay around longer.

Adventures, the ability to watch the majestic golden eagles soar in the open sky, the delight in seeing the bottle nosed dolphins surf the waves, seeing new born lambs frolicking in the field, to be able to star gaze on a wonderful clear night, to plant a seed and watch as it turns into a wonderful flower. Having my senses makes me happy to be alive every second of every day. Sadly many people are too materialistic to enjoy the wonderful free things that this world has to offer.

What would make me happy would to have a job. Preferably a secure permanent job that I am happy in. To be earning my living in a happy environment. Love is what keeps me alive in a difficult life.

When I get home from work and see my wife and kids all having a good time playing together.
When I wake up Christmas morning and the kids are all excited because 'Santas been' there is nothing I like better than to see the excitement in their eyes. They get so excited and seem to burst with energy and enthusiasm, the wife and I sit up in bed and the kids sit on our bed opening presents.
To me it is one of the best things you can ever be lucky enough to share in.

My wife, family, friends, work, and being able to wake up every morning to drink coffee and answer questions for others I care about. All the above have their ups and downs, but with persistent everything works out for the best. Oh - Peris going back to jail and seeing her scream and cry.

We tend to forget how fortunate we are to just wake up each day. Anyday could be our last breath. I am happy that today I am in Good health and I woke up this morning to enjoy good health, my children, lifes treasures, and my relationships with my love ones.
