guild wars nightfall is this a add on?

is nightfall an add on or a new game that you dont need the 1st one for?

No it's an add-on (I call them expansion packs) and you need the first game. The Sims series are infamous for doing this, all their games need the very first Sims game.

I actually play the game. its both a add on (expansion) and a stand alone game. Each game comes with its own professions. for example. Nightfall comes with Dervish and Paragon.

Each version of Guild wars can be played alone or added together to make a larger world. Guild wars is based on a european world. With all of the characters being white. The second game Faction is Asian based character. And the latest game Nightfall has Black based characters. This is very cool for making the game very even balanced.

The greatest feature of the game is that its free online play. Unlike World of Warcraft or Everquest which you have to pay a monthly fee. Guild wars is free so all you have to do is install and jump online.

Each game (ie. Prophecies, Factions, and Nightfall) are stand alone but if you link any of the games together on your account you may play the content from all linked games on the same character/account.

Actually, the Guild Wars expansions can be stand alone. They have they're own content(lands and classes) that can be played just by itself. However, you need the other expansion(Factions) or the orginal game if you want to use the other classes(for sure) and other features(I think).

you extremely can. you are able to upload all of them to comparable activity. the only one that calls so which you would be able to have any of the known video games (factions, prophecies and dusk) is Eye of the North.
