Is it just me or does it look as if our Government is trying to make America look like an out of control 3rd world nation?

They show up everywhere wearing full tactical gear like a special forces unit.

How many of these are contracted mercinaries?

Because they want to be the military without the danger. Thomas- that is the only time such a thing has happened while the police have over reacted many times with their armored vehicles and military gear beating down the doors of unarmed 80 year old grandmothers.

None are contracted mercinaries, they can make better money fighting where there is real danger from the people they are raiding.

do you remember the bank robbery in California some years ago?
Those robbers had bullet proof armor, machine guns,
vast amounts of ammo some 3000 rounds including
high velocity rounds that pierced both sides of the police car,
multiple assault weapons.
the police had only 357's, 9mm, 12 gauge's and no body armor.

today were fighting an enemy who thinks in that realm.

I'd rather have a police force with all the proper tools both lethal and soft.
No sorry no MERCs in USA they're all over in iraq where the money is!!!

extra appropriate to have them and not desire them, than to desire them and not have them. i understand of no police companies that subject AK-47s. frequently they subject AR-15s, or Ruger Mini-14s, or comparable. Any "gadget gun", even one that is owned via a police employer, is heavily regulated via the ATF. No man or woman, no longer even law enforcement officials, are allowed to very own a gadget gun with no federal firearms license that fairly states which you would be able to. there are maximum of regulations that very, very few human beings have one. those officers that do have a patrol rifle issued to them could undergo an incredible style of training. You keep in mind the infamous North-Hollywood shootout some years in the past. The financial company robbers have been armed with unlawful gadget weapons. The officers that replied have been shot to products via fact they have been outgunned. they had to pass to close by gun shops (thank God that they had no longer been closed via gun-administration law) and purchase weapons to apply interior the shootout.

It's a tougher world than before and there are still many laws that favor the criminal.
When ever a cop is shot, we the law abiding people lose one of our own.

Read the newspapers, watch the news. Haven't you seen the criminals that they have to go against? The gang members aren't exactly carrying BB guns, They're using what they have to, to protect themselves and the public.

I haven't seen this but I hope you are right. They need shoulder fired missiles too. Then the first time a drug dealer fires a gun from a crack house they could blow it to hell.
