Yes, jail. Of course!
Celebrities think they are above the law & the government. Shame on them.

I think that they're right by sending her to jail. No matter how famous you are, you still must obey the laws. And, the last time I checked, driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol is illegal. She did that. Everyone who drives while they're impaired is risking themselves and others on the road. This is her own fault. Screaming and crying about it won't change anything. She broke the law. Period. She deserves to be in jail. In fact, I think that she got off easy. Most people who break the road laws twice end up in jail longer than 45 days (or however long she's in for). I do not think that the courts are being too hard on her, I think that they're treating her like any human being that breaks the law.

I don't think the courts are being hard enough on celebrities. It's pathetic how the rich and famous treat the law like it's a play thing for them. What makes them so special that they should not have to abide by the same rules the rest of us are forced to? They behave as though they are above the law and then whine and complain when they get caught and have to pay the penalties. Letting Paris Hilton out and serving home arrest is basically rewarding her for defacating on the legal system. She's a poor excuse for a human being to begin with. What does she actually do that is of value to the world?

Heck yes, she should be in jail... She is such a waist of space and money!!! I say that and at the same time, I have to think about what the heck her parents thinking raising her like that. And I know people say that they feel sorry for her family, but I'm sure her sister is just the same, she's just quieter about it!!! But she is an adult now and she really needs a reality check. I think this trial is doing just that for her. Did anyone hear about her freak out after she got sentenced back to jail? This may be the beginning of Paris finally growing up.

Since I hear that LA lets people with non-violent 45 day sentences out in 5-10 days, she should have to be in jail about that long. She shouldn't have to serve the whole time if a normal person wouldn't have to. No special treatment--either way.
Taking Paris out of the picture--I think it is nuts that overcrowding gives judges' sentences no meaning.

Well think about it. If you would have done the exact same thing as her, then you would be in jail. She should've been in jail before this for DUI, too. Don't feel bad for her, she broke the law.

she should be in jail.
any ordinary person with the same circumstances would be in jail in 3 seconds flat. just because she is famous doesn't make her any better than anyone else.
thank you for making this poll. :)
