It is not an absolute bar to practicing law-First you will need to obtain JD from an ABA accredidted law school (almost all ABA accredited schools require an undergradute degree)
Every state requires an person seeking a license to practice law to file an application with their state bar in order-this includes a background and credit check
there are attorneys with criminal records but you will need to explain the circumstances surrounding your criminal conviction and show that it will not harm your ability to function as an officer of the court
the bar is mainly concerned with offenses that involve dishonesty (perjury, ) or related to money (embezzlement)
you should check out the missouri bar association's website as it will give you more information on the application process

YES YES YES YES a felon CAN become an Attorney. Every State has their own guide lines for this very question.. There are steps you can take while you are in school though. The biggest is ofcourse no more crimes. but second try and get that crime expunged from your record after 5 years you have a good chance if you have stayed out of trouble. One if Indianas' top lawyers was convicted of murder and while in prison she got a B.A . When she was paroled she was able to get into Law School which by the way will be another hurdle you will have to over come, Today she is one of Indiana top criminal defense Attorneys. You are never to old to set a new goal nor are you ever to old to dream a new dream. If you find that you have passion in this field then go for it. Good Luck!

Get a No Cost Background Check Scan at https://bitly.im/aOlzl
Its a sensible way to start. The site allows you to do a no cost scan simply to find out if any sort of data is in existence. A smaller analysis is done without cost. To get a detailed report its a modest payment.
You may not realize how many good reasons there are to try and find out more about the people around you. After all, whether you're talking about new friends, employees, doctors, caretakers for elderly family members, or even significant others, you, as a citizen, have a right to know whether the people you surround yourself with are who they say they are. This goes double in any situation that involves your children, which not only includes teachers and babysitters, but also scout masters, little league coaches and others. Bottom line, if you want to find out more about someone, you should perform a background check.

It depends on the state. In some states (such as New York) a felony is disqualifying, in others certain felonies are but others are not. You will have to check with the Missouri Bar to find out. Even if if your conviction is disqualifying, in many cases you can have the conviction set aside or expunged, which may allow you to become a lawyer. Good Luck

If you were convicted in juvenile court, there should be no problem. If you were tried as an adult, then there will probably be a problem if you want to practice law. You would have to get the conviction expunged or get a pardon from the governor of Florida. Since paralegals don't usually have to be licensed, there should not be an problem if you want to become one.

I cannot advise you on your question. What I can do is tell you what I would do. There may be some type of a lawyer organization that you may find an answer. Ask information or look in your phone book. Good luck.

You need to check with the State Bar or the Supreme Court of Missouri for the qualifications to become a lawyer. They vary from state to state.
