No way, I don't respect anyone else in that jail and they are serving their time in full, why should I show her some?

I can't think of anything that, would make me have respect for Paris Hilton. If she goes back to jail and finishes her sentence, I would feel that she is just paying for breaking the law. After all, she really isn't above the law, even if she is rich.
I would believe that justice has been served.

In order to respect Paris Hilton she would have to do something worthy of respect. So far, driving drunk, making amateur porn, sleeping around, posing on the red carpet, starting petty fights, and ignoring the police don't qualify. Shutting up and doing her time is what she needs to do, but it doesn't necessarily get me to respect her. I'd like to see her come out of this changed for the better and start doing something positive with her life. Then, she'd get my respect.

Let's say I may have even less respect for her than I do at this point if she doesn't just chill out and get it over with.
Some people can't have everything. Poor Paris didn't get a good upbringing, and now she's paying for that.

It would be hard for me to ever respect anyone whose only purpose in life is being photographed and making a spectacle of herself on TV... not to mention the sex tape. But I will say that if she does her time like everybody else I would respect the fact that she took responsibility for herself for once.

It's hard to feel respect for someone who has no self respect in the first place.

She won't --
They're working on an appeal, and a writ of habeas corpus.
Hey -- Jason Wahler of the show Laguna Beach violated his probation for a DUI charge, and the judge -- today -- let him walk instead of incarcerating him.

Well....... I guess I would have at least as much respect for her as I would have for any other spoiled rotten, clueless "celebrity". Can NOT believe the media frenzy about all this- speaks volumes about the dumbing-down of the American public. :(

Not especially. Do I respect any ex-con because they have been through the prison system? Of course not.

In order to have or not have respect for someone, you have to actually "know" that person. Since I don't know her I am indifferent. However, Charles Barkley said it best,"They only put poor people in jail." Hell, look at O.J.
