In what sense? Hamster do pass a lot of poo - as long as it's all pellets, you know ordinary sort of semi-dry ones this is normal. It's only if it's got squishy, messy poo that you need to worry, or if it's always got poo hanging out its backside, this would be diarrhoea.
Lots of pellets is normal, rodents have fast metabolisms and produce proportionally way more poo than cats, dogs and us.

If your hamster's feces are watery, you should worry! S/he has a condition called "wet tail," which is diarhhea. This condition is fatal if not treated immediately. There is an over the counter remedy which can be purchased at your local pet store. It's called "DriTail." However, if this condition has been going on for over a day without treatment, you may want to consult your vet because "DriTail" treatments probably won't work. If S/he is pooping a lot, hamsters usually do this. They may poop a lot with one feeding and poop less with another. Continuously pooping, as you call it, would mean nonstop pooping (if it's dry feces). I don't think a well hamster would be able to keep this up. Actually, I don't think any hamster would be able to do this. You can seek online vets' help by doing a search on google or any other search engine. Keeping his/her enclosure as clean as possible is necessary if the little guy has wet tail. This should be done anyway. If healthy, once or twice a week is good. And don't forget to clean the water and food dishes with warm water and soap also. Make sure you wash them out thoroughly and drying them before putting any fresh water and food in. I wish you the best! I love those little guys!!

I think it would be a very good idea to take your hamster to a vet. Sometimes when a hamster "poos" continuously, it is a possibility that it has "Wet Tail". Wet tail is usually fatal to hamsters so it would be worth the trip to the vet to know for sure.

Don't feed it high-calorie foods like sunflower seeds, although this may be his favorite. They are bad for the little guy's digestive tract, hence the runs. I don't know how much the vet can do but it is worth a call at least. It is very possible your hamster got into something he wasn't supposed to, and now his body is just cleaning it out. Clean out his cage and replace his bedding too, to remove any bacteria that may be causing it.
