Are the Cavs really a team or a one man show? The Spurs got talent, mindset, and team chemistry and played in the "real" conference. Can the Cavs respond?

Ok they didn't get a 25 pt lead but they did get an 18 pt lead. Big deal.

They didn't put on much of a show either way, did they? I think they'll respond--as well as they can. It just won't be enough. They'll probably take a game at home but we all know who's taking the trophy home.

Yes the Cavs will respond. The Cavs are not a fluke in terms of the Eastern Conference but there are a number of teams better than them in the Western Conference. Being that the Spurs are the top of those Western teams (better than the Cavs), the Cavs will have trouble. When the Cavs realize to use the growing asset of Boobie, then they will have a fighting chance in this series. Spurs have the upper hand, but don't let one loss leave the Cavs out.

It takes a fool to believe that the Cavs could have made it out of the West.
It is unfortunate for LeBron that the NBA is as weak as it is. That way, he greatness could be more easily understood by people that make assertions about basketball after playing Playstation 2.
Now, let's talk about the Cavaliers for one minute. Let's talk about what they DO NOT have.
1 - No "great" power forward or center. They are over matched down low.
Now, what do they have:
1 - An injured shooting guard
2 - A group of aging veterans that are not going to get "better" per se
The story of the 2006-07 Cleveland Cavaliers is the value of teamwork. By functioning as a team they were able to accomplish quite a bit and that would have been IMPOSSIBLE if LeBron didn't believe in it and try to help.
All that having been said:
1 -The Eastern Conference is weak right now
2 -The East will most likely continue to be weak for the next
2 years
3 -The Cavaliers lost the complementary they needed when
Boozer went to Utah. They could use him right now
4 -The Cavaliers will continue to be a factor in the East; due to
the fact that LeBron will continue to improve
5 -The Cavaliers will most likely have to make moves through
free agency to be as good as the top 4 West teams
LeBron is WAY BETTER now than Kobe was at the same age and the same is true for when comparing them year to year at this point.

They have played one game and if you recall they were down 0-2 in the last series. So lets just see how it plays out first. And any team that makes it to the finals is not a fluke!!! I'm not a Cavs fan I just can not stand Duncan. He is Mr no Personality. The spurs are just boring to watch and the Cavs make it fun to watch. It's funny when I get thumbs down for being right. Give me a few more Haters!!!

Of course the Cavs are a fluke! Their luck came in the first round. If Gilbert Arenas and Caron Butler were healthy, the Wiz woulda took Cleveland out in the 1st round. Jason Kidd is overrated. Da Pistons have no excuse for taking care of business in the Conference Finals.

other players of cavs is a factor but lebron is the major factor without him it is near impossible to beat spurs. If only all shots of lebron went to the hoop it will give the cavs a lead. lebron should improve his perimeter shots because he can't penetrate because of the tight defense!
Go CAVS make a nba history!!!

in my opinion, it comes down to the West Coast and East Coast competition... what the Cavs can do against Eastern Conference teams have dire results against the West... and I don't think it's just against the Spurs... the Cav's would be down a game to the Suns, Jazz, and maybe even the Warriors... just my opinion

umm... no the cavs are not a one person team...
considering the fact that LeBron shot 0-7 in the first half... the spurs were only up by 5 during halftime...
Boobie... Gooden... Sahsa... contributed
.... The cavs are not a one person team... or the spurs should have won by 25-30 points... but they didnt!
LONG LIVE THE KING!
rise up!
go cavs!
