Munich.

Munich is beautiful city, in a wonderful location and full of culture and class. Plenty to do and see, great nightlife and people. They are home to the biggest party in the world...Oktoberfest. You are close to Switzerland, Austria and the Czech Republic, all are easy to get to and wonderful side trips.

Hamburg is a party town, full wide open anything goes kind of place. Leave the wife and kids at home kind of place.

Berlin is nice and plenty to do, but it's not special. Frankfurt is just another banking city full of building and people only interested in making money (not that there is anything wrong with that).

Ok I am not German (I am Greek) and this is what I think:

Munich and/or Berlin

Munich is more "snobbish", elegant, aristocratic and cozzy.

Berlin is artistic, "underground" and people tend to adapt a more leftist mentality...

But I might be wrong for any of these remarks...
