Disneyland is in Anaheim, California.
Disney-World is in Orlando, Florida.

Actually the best Disney park is DisneySea Park in Tokyo.
But from the two options listed in the question, definitely the best is Disneyworld. Here is the explanation:
- Disneyland in LA actually equals 2 parks: Disneyland and California Adventure. Disneyland is what everybody expects from Disney (the castle, the princesses, Peter Pan, Dumbo, Spacemountain, etc.), while California Adventure has the concept of the traditional American amusement park with the big wheel of fortune and the wooden rollercoaster.
- Disneyworld is composed of 4 parks, plus 2 water parks, shopping district, clubs, golf courses and lots and lots of other amenities. One of the parks is Magic Kingdom, which actually is an upgraded version of the original Disneyland park in LA.
Disneyworld is so big that actually has its own freeways in it, it is almost the size of Orlando itself. Additionally, the Disney park in LA seems that it is trapped in time, that for the past 30 years nothing's changed. On the other hand, Disneyworld offers you truly outstanding and state-of-the-art attractions as Mission: Space, or even a safari inside Animal Kingdom, something that you could definitely not find in LA.

Disneyworld. It is newer than Disneyland. I think that D'world is shinier and cooler in general, having been to both. Maybe that 'cause I'm a child of the 60s and not the 50s - more Epcot and Space Mountain than The Matterhorn.

two entirely different experiences. DW is the mega destination: 4 Parks, a bazillion resorts and easy access to places like Harry Potter Land. all the really over the top rides and shows are here. very fast paced, and you need a week to experience it properly. DL is far smaller with a much slower pace and a more intimate atmosphere. as the older of the two, it is also slightly less 'exciting' honestly one is no better than the other as they each have some pretty significant unique aspects that the other does not have.

disney world is better. disney land doesnt have as much to do and california adventures is just like a stationary fair, not an amusement park, disney world has more to do like the water parks and all the different parks like epcot.

Disney land cuz it has more fun stuff to do and its close to California Adventures but it was a lot of people
