Yes and no. Being a girl is nothing to get offended about. Yet guys think being a girl makes you a wimp and weak as well as other commen steriotypes. Guys use the phrase in a way that means rude things. But I think there's nothing wrong with being a girl.

Acting like a girl is not such a bad thing ( As long as your a female). Men and males in general tend to say things just to yank your chain or get a reaction from you, Just ignore it and let it go. If you make a big deal of it. They will keep doing it just to get a reaction.
Take care,
Kali :-)

I have no idea. Such a sexist phrase now. I suppose that way back in the past, girls were supposed to girl things and that guys did manly things and so if guys did girly things, they were called girls for that...maybe it originated from that.
And nah, you shouldn't be offended. You are a girl, and if someone tells you that you're being a girl, then you're doing your job.

The word "should" is irrelevant. If you feel offended, then maybe you "should" express you feelings. Acting like a girl makes no sense. You are either a man or a woman, that's it. If someone says something like that, they are obviously trying to offend you. Believe me, there are more creative ways to insult someone. People who say that are apparently not very bright. You seem like a very strong woman, don't let some ****** upset you, it is definitely not worth it.

No way! It is not insult it is more of a compliment than an insult! Unless you are playing a sport and you lose and some one calls you such a girl than maybe.

I suggest growing up and getting over things like worrying about what to be offended by an what not to be. You're throwing gasoline on the fire. Instead, maybe you should concentrate on finding something that makes you happy in the meantime before you inevitably die.

gosh i said that (about myself) in the question of yours i answered earlier. i don't necessarily say it in a bad way. i just say it. i mean i also say "you're such a boy" it's just something i say. not really meant to offend. just a comment. stereotypically girls and more focused on looks, etc. and so i say it when i'm talking about stereotypically girly stuff.
and no you shouldn't be offended.

If they are smart, they are telling you that you are inadvertently confirming negative female stereotypes through your ridiculous behaviour. However, it's far more likely that they're weak minded misogynists who can't win arguments with logic and reason so resort to feeble insults.
