cancel this contract. i thought you had a cooling off period with any agreement. is this not the case

Now, this is an important legal thing.

Did they contact you like a cold call or something. If you were called and asked for the decision, then there is a cooling off period of 14 Days.

Did you contact them with interest to do the change? If you entered their store or phoned them up, then there is no cooling off period.

Unfortunately, you do not specify this in your question, so I cant tell which is correct.

Complete clap trap x You are WELL within your rights to cancel, cooling off periods normally range form 14 days to 28 days.

I was under the impression you had 28 days to cancel. Contact the ombudsman to see who is right.
