I don't know. I don't really care. She is a little spoiled rich brat.
It amazes me how much press coverage this is getting.
Why doesn't show that she is made of something and do her
time. I mean for god sakes she is not even in real prison. She
is in baby prison.

Sure thing. Soon as the special services wing of the Jail becomes overcrowded she can be sent home on a 'first in, first out' basis. Until that celeb wing becomes overcrowded however, she can sit her useless butt in jail.
The only thing separating Paris from a garbage digging bum is she isn't a drain on social services. Besides, all you freaks that are worrying about her, it's been estimated she will be able to require 500k per party appearance (vice her old 300k price tag) once she has served her sentence.
As for the ACLU putting it's two cents in. *sigh* Do I really have to go there? They are useless, and as much a media grubbing waste of space as Paris.

This is not the usual case because she got a break once by being put on probation. She vioated the terms of the probation twice and on the second violation she was sentenced to 45 days. Seems that the judge had little viable choice but to send her to jail. The sheriff made a mistake by releasing her. She could have been out in about 3 weeks. Now she gets 45 days. To that extent I think it is unfair.

I would like to see what happens to others incarcerated for the same offense (driving with a suspended license following a reckless driving conviction). I really don't know the standard in California. If that happened to me in Texas, I would have gone away for 18 months! That is an apples/oranges comparison, though. The only way to know if it is 'fair' is to know what others received for the same offense. If house arrest is the standard, then that is what Ms. Hilton should get. If 45 days behind bars is standard, then that is what she should get. Given her current situation, I would suck it up and do the time in jail. I think a lot of people, myself included, would have newfound respect for her if she went quietly and faced the music.

I just heard a story on CNN about a non-violent quadriplegic was given 30 days in LA county Jail. He died 5 days later.
Now, what was the difference between this man and Paris Hilton? His health was much worse than hers. But she has money.

Well I am not sure that is a fact. Their is a broadcaster on Fox Sports (which I do listen) and a friend of his who spent 2 months in jail for the same exact thing!
Just because poor little rich girl can't take it, perhaps the next time she gets behind the wheel of a vehicle drunk she will think of this. Hopefully before she kills someone, including herself.
That was no Ford she was driving!

Wow, do you guys not get that if you were is Paris Hilton's position and told the people in the jail that you are having mental problems so you need house arrest, they would laugh in your face and take your clothes so you have nothing to hang yourself with?

yes the court system is being fair -- the media is never fair
the real question is -- is Paris being fair? she's the one who had a DUI -- violated the terms of her probation -- flaunted the legal process numerous times and now is whining about having to deal with the consequences of her actions -- too bad - so sad for the spoiled little rich girl

what upset me about this was what i heard was she was release for "psychological stress". I just had both my breasts removed and covered with scars. I'd like to tell her about psychological stress. Furthermore, I am sooooooo f******ing sick of celebrities getting special treatement. All rich people for that matter. I can't afford chemo because I have to go back to work. I am just so over these people it makes me ill! I could give a **** if they are violent or not, they think they are untoucable because they have money (translation power)

Did The early release inmates try to circumvent the law?
were they role models?
Did they show up late and make light of the situation in the eyes of the world?
