make the shadow darker in the crease of your eye. sweep your brush from side to side. but dont immediatly do it dark. slowly progress to the intensity of aqua you want. blend blend blend!!! make sure the shadow is lighter on your lid then it is on your crease.

Many eye shadows come in sets of three complimentary colors with three different values; light medium and dark. You can also choose from frosted or matte finish.

Begin by applying the lightest shade to the upper portion of your eyes, along the brow bone.

Next, use the medium shade to color your lids. Begin at the inner corner and stroke to the outer edge of the eye lid. Then use your fingertip to lightly blend the light and medium shades together where they meet near the crease.

Now it's time to use the darkest shade to add some contouring and depth. This technique will give you that smokey-eyed look. Beginning at the inner corner, follow the crease to the outer edge of your eyes. You can also add a little more of the darkest color to edge of the lids, just above the lashes. Then, once again, use your fingertip or brush to blend and soften the lines.

The lighter shade goes on your lid, and the darker color goes in your crease. This causes the eye to 'pop.' Blending it shouldn't be difficult. Depending on if the colors are close in the family or in two different color families, it'll just take a little practice. But, when blending, pull out and up towards your brow, don't do weird circles or anything. And add a little highlight underneath your brow. You'll look great.

Practice makes perfect!

the best way to apply eyeshadow is to put a little dab of vasoline on your eyelid first then apply the shadow...as for colors, it should be darker by your eyelashes and lighter as you go up the eyelid...good luck

The edges of the eyes should get the darker color and as long as u get inside it should be lighter and lighter.
That's what they taught me in my class!

First of all, examine the contours of your eyes and let the natural shadows be your guide. At least that's what my sister says.

I myself just use one shade across the eyelid and a pencil or liquid liner.

applyit in the corner of the crease and then brush it in....lightly!

it's also cool to lightly brush some underneath your eye right beneath where you would put eyeliner (don't put too much!)
