i dunno if they'll win it or not, but i do know that if they do get there, id hate to be the team that plays them. their lineup is murder to face, as well as their starting pitching. the 1-2 punch of beckett and schilling would give them a good chance of putting any team in the playoffs into an 0-2 hole.

I think they will make the postseason but it will be tough. The Indians and Tigers will be better than their records when they reach the postseason because they would have spent so much time beating up on each other. The Angels look sharp, the Mariners have surprised us all , the A's are starting to catch fire, the Yankees ,Twins, Blue Jays and White Sox can't be counted out either. A very tough league.

not a chance on smoltz heading up there. i like a team out of the national league (braves or the diamondbacks). just like last year the american league teams will wear out each others bullpens. the red sox are by far the best team to this point but like previously stated the will cool off, esp. youk and lowell. braves might make a run at zambrano, thats all they are missing is a third ace

I really like their chances this year and I think they will definitely make the post-season....and once they get there...why not? This Red Sox team reminds me a lot like the '05 White Sox and they won the whole thing.

No, No, No.. you have the subject completely incorrect. The Rays are going to win pastime 7, 5-2. Then the Rays are gonna convey the momentum with them to the international sequence and drop the Phils in 5 video games.

i do. I know that sometimes that the team that is the clear favortie all year just dosen't perform well at the world series... but i think that it is the Red Sox year.

i like there chances but really to early to say, will Youkillis and Lowell have career years ?? or will they cool off as the weather heats up ?? Ortiz and Ramirez are just starting to hit their stride.............. should be pretty exciting to watch it play out, i have to agree with you Schilling and Beckett are going to be tough to touch if they stay healthy and Matsuzaka is only now learning the league and probably needs another month before he fully hits his stride. i think they are pretty strong up and down the line up and there starting pitchers, but for insurance i think that Epstein should either trade or sign another arm that can either spot start and/or be a reliever (HINT,HINT) (John Smoltz).

P.S. just a thought, he is from Michigan i believe so Boston is a lot closer then Atlanta to his biggest fans.

I will bet you that Theo Epstein thinks they will win, it also sounds like you think they will win and will bet a handful of others think they will win. All of us will find out in a few more months.
