One of the gum brands has a wrapper that is rice paper, I think. At least back in the day this existed. It changes the consistency of the gum, though, when you chew the paper. Yahoo Answers has a spell checker.

M.C gum rappa. My gum is a rapist! You can leave the wrapper on any gum and chew it but it makes it taste bad. This was started with the super thin cinnaburst gum wrappers back in the day.

I wouldn't do it. It only takes a second to take the gum out of the wrapper so why leave it in.

doesn't sound very tasty and it's probably not good for you because it's not meant to be chewed, meaning there are all kinds of artificial dyes and stuff going into the paper.

It's paper. Paper will do that when you chew it! It won't hurt you, but why the heck would you want to eat paper??
