While I don't necessarily like or dis-like Paris Hilton. I don't think she should go. I think that if she were anyone else( not famous) house arrest would be ok with everyone but nooooo. Of course not but because she is a celebrity they think ok here's the perfect opportunity to make a example of her and get away with it saying that their not gonna give special treatment to a celebrity but they are in fact treating her differently because she is in the spotlight. I'm not saying she was right. She should be punished but come on prison thats bulls**t for driving on a suspended license. Just fine her a** make her do a hell of alot of community service and and people lets not forget its about a suspended driving license not the dui thats already be taken care of.Lets move on cause im tired of hearing about this and now that i've vented im done :).

I thought so too, until I found out that an average person with her sentence would probably get out in a week anyway.

Keeping her locked up the whole time because she is a celebrity (and they don't want to look like they are giving celebs special treatment) would be wrong. Of course, its a shame that jails are so overcrowded that people only serve 10% of their sentences if no one was hurt--it makes the whole justice system a joke.

We should all be honored that Paris Hilton would choose to grace our streets with her drunken antics. Poor people should be grateful if they are run over by someone of Paris' caliber while she is out on an alcohol-fueled rampage in her Mercedes. If they feel otherwise, they should get out of her way. Really, Paris is such a wonderful person that we should change all our laws so that she won't have to be afraid of going to jail when she puts others in danger by breaking them!

yes. She shouldn't have been let out just because her personal physician said she was sick, I am pretty sure their are a lot of people in there just as sick, poor and they won't let them out.
I heard that it was so cold in there she couldn't sleep. Maybe she was having DT's being separated from a mirror AND her Blackberry... OMG Paris Hilton using a Public Phone, I don't think she even can see herself walking by one on the streets.
And the mirror are polished metal, like looking in a fun house mirror, She believed what she saw.

Hell yes!!!

She ought to be doing at least six months to a year, and not in some private cell.

If any of us poor working slobs had been busted for DUI and been lucky enough to get off with probation, we'd be doing a year if we screwed up and broke probation.

I have no sympathy for that rich, ugly, scrawny brat!!

I think they should drag her back by her hair like cave men used to do . Then kick her in the butt to put her back in her cell.
I think that was a load of crap her having a nervous brake down my a*s. Anybody else wouldn't have gotten away with that.

Yes, she does not deserve special treatment just because she is a star. I don't understand why they are publicizing it so much though.

You bet I do, just because she has money doesn't mean she can break the law. You do the crime you serve the time. It doesn't matter who you are. I was glad to see the judge woke up and saw the light. Her fake nervous break down didn't fly.
