She (along with other celebrities) need to know that they are not above the law and that they will face the same consequences you or I would should we be in the same predicament and/or make the same mistake.

I, for one am glad she's going back to jail as she needs to understand the seriousness of her crime. She could've killed someone while driving drunk.

Also, I heard on the news that she was planning a huge party at her place (where she was under house arrest) now that she was no longer in prison. Come on, talk about a slap in the face of justice!

You're an emotional wreck so they let you out of jail cause you can't handle it....and the first thing you want to do is throw a huge party at your place so you can get jacked up on alcohol and drugs again?!

I don't think she's upset because she has to go to jail, she's upset because she's going through alcohol/drug

HAHAHAHAHA Thats the best news Ive heard in months.
There were a few important things that happened in this fiasco.......the first is;
1.Should a lousy sherrif have the power to over rule a court judge even when that judge explicitly said no home detention?
2.If Paris had got away with her mansion detention, she would be a marked woman for the rest of her life, she wouldnt be able to go out public without hundreds of people queueing up to spit on her or give her the bash. I believe the judge did her a favour.
3. Its a kick in the guts to the rich elite who think money can buy anything, and thats a good thing. knocking rich punks down a peg or two is fun.

Why not? If it was a poor woman who committed the same crime, she would definitely be in jail for 45 days. She could be throwing up all over the cell. She still wouldn't be released! I am sick of this double standard criminal justice in America! First it was Diane Ross, then it was Martha Stewart, then it was Paris Hilton. Next it will be Michael Vick! Why do celebritiy criminals get treated better than other criminals?

confident, i think of its great that she has to do a little detention center time. i'm unsure that 40 5 days is sufficient yet a minimum of it makes a factor. i'm advantageous that her detention center time would be lots diverse from what a "usual" man or woman could could pass with the aid of besides. i think of that celebrities could could stick to the comparable regulations. I dont think of it might count number how lots money you have etc... whilst it is your 2d/third "mistake" there needs to be extreme effects. You cant tell me surely that she didnt understand that her license became suspended... Thats rediculous! nonetheless, possibly if we didnt glamorize their undesirable habit, and that they shared teh comparable effects, there could be much less crime all around.

Glad? No. I think since the judge sentenced her, she should serve her time. If the sentence was unfair, I'd think there'd be an appeal process they could follow that would let her out pending the appeal.

But am I happy about her misfortune? Nope.
