I actually feel sorry for her, thinking that she was home free one minute and back behind bars the next. Kind of like giving a kid a toy and then taking it back.
But Paris is no kid, she needs to do the time for her crimes. She was lucky to have the original sentence reduced from 45 days to 23.
She is unlucky that she now has to serve the full sentence, however I think her being punished for the Sheriff's mistake is wrong too.
The whole thing is a fiasco.
I hope she comes out of prison, a new woman.

I'm supposed to have sympathy for an individual who obviously doesn't care about anyone else, a person who, for the first time in her life, has not gotten what she wants, and is being punished for acting like a small child rather than an adult? I can't have sympathy for Paris Hilton because she is a pathetic person and we should all take pity on her because she is a barely functioning human being. She's lucky she hasn't killed herself or someone else.
If you think none of us have a heart, think about the people that get behind the wheel drunk and kill others, think about the little girls who look up to Paris as a role model, and think of Paris herself. Paris needs to learn that her actions have repercussions and that money doesn't buy everything. She needs to wake up and realize that just because she thinks that she is the only person on the planet, things aren't automatically going to go her way. Maybe then she'll become a productive member of society.

Why should I have sympathy for someone who broke the law then violated her suspension? If it were you or I that conducted ourselves in this manner would we not face the jail time? Of course we would! I am a firm believer in the old adage "If you can't do the time, don't do the crime". I have heard people say " she is young, let's not be so hard on her". She is old enough at this time in her life to know right from wrong.
Further to this whole thing, why is it such a big deal that she is going to jail? The answer...she is a pseudo-celebrity! Every day there are people who commit this crime or worse and we never here about them.

I have a lot of sympathy for Paris Hilton. How is the poor girl going to drink and drive in jail?

She broke the law. She could have killed someone. Then she continued to break the law after getting off scott free TWICE. And WE'RE the ones with no heart? I don't think so. She is LUCKY she is not in a regular, run-of-the-mill minimum security prison where she belongs. If it were you, that's where you'd likely be. If there are no consequences for your actions, then what is to motivate you to act properly? The next time she drives drunk, someone's child or wife or brother or best friend could be dead. Justice is not being done if she does not go to jail. That's the bottom line. There is nothing heartless about it.

I have no sympathy for her. She should not be treated any different then everyone else. She is nothing but a spoiled brat that thinks she is above the law & the law almost showed she was right.

I don't have sympathy for anyone who breaks the law, especially someone who continuously breaks the law and thinks they don't deserve to be punished. She doesn't even have to serve in population, or serve a full sentence, and she was given a date to go to jail. Had it been anyone else in that situation, they would have went directly to jail, thrown in population, and been made to serve at least most of their sentence.

So what. She shouldn't have been driving without a valid license AND INTOXICATED (she could have killed someone) and she shouldn't be such a media whore and maybe the whole world wouldn't know about it in the first place. She hoards the spotlight so it's not going to disappear because she's going to jail.
I think she deserves it. She is arrogant and childish and needs to be taught the world doesn't revolve around her and her extensions.

You don't get it do you? she was sentenced to 23 days in jail, any normal individual would have to serve their full sentence. Paris, on the other hand, serves 3 days, and gets sent home.
Is that fair?
would one of your family members receive the same treatment?
I doubt it.

How about if you do the crime, pay the time. If I did what she did I would rot, so why shouldn't she? Because her family has a ton of good lawyers and a good psychiatrist to fill the sheriff full of BS?
