Should conservatives really fight abortion?

I know it's wrong, but it takes away democrat voters. As long as democrats keep killing off their children (abortion), and conservatives keep killing them off with the death penalty, and locking them up (since about 99% of criminals are democrat), shouldn't we leave well enough alone for the greater good? For that matter, shouldn't we promote homosexuality, since it keeps liberals from being able to reproduce? It shouldn't be long before the religious right are the only ones capable of reproducing.

1. Most women who have abortions go on to have children when they are better prepared for them. Therefore abortion has a negligible effect on the populations of any group.

2. Most criminals don't vote, so they can't be said to belong to any party.

3. Being tolerant of homosexuality won't make you gay or even encourage anyone else who is straight to "switch sides." Most attempts at deterring homosexuality are doomed to fail. All it will accomplish is putting them in the closet.

4. The only way to stop abortions is to prevent unwanted pregnancies to begin with.

That is an interesting theory.

However,

- Homosexuality has thrived (either secretly or in the open) for centuries;

-Abortion has been legal for over 30 years;

-The death penalty has never really gone out style.

Yet the D's still keep coming back - 8 years in the White House during the 90's, the current majority in Congress, and (barring a miracle) they'll be in the White House again after the next election.

Makes you wonder...with all of the above advantages, the GOP should easily win every election everywhere. What could they possibly be doing wrong? ;^)

Let them keep fighting Abortion , a woman has a right to choose what she wants to do with her body. Where did you get 99% criminals are Democrat. You tell me how many in Congress have been sentenced to prison. All Republicans , plus yesterday Your top Cheney man Scooter Libby was sentenced to prison You seem to forget , don't you.
Get a life quit trying to make up stories that you can't back up. . Your Congress has one that is a page molester, you have Republicans already sent to prison and you have Delay waiting for sentencing. You had Hasert hiding what Foley was doing to the young pages and lied about that he was told about all this mishandling of justice. You add up the Rep. and Dem and you give me a % total of each party that is serving time for being a complete crook. That is one reasion you lost the Senate and Congress because of all these lies and 2 day work week. You are going to lose the White House, Senate and Congress in 2008.

I never thought of homosexuality in that way in a looooong time, lol! Unfortunately(?), they have the right to adopt. I have a gay uncle and a gay brother in law and I think they are some of the nicest people I know. I don't think it's how they are born so I like to argue that one. Homosexuality is not intended in nature but there are some animals that can switch genders in one lifetime.

That might be the answer to why dems hate the death penalty, but love abortion

Babies that are allowed to be born because repubs are against abortion grow up to appreciate the repubs for the chance to be born, grow up, have a life, experience love, and start their own family...and vote repub.

Hence, that’s why the dems want to kill them now.

But, since 99% of criminals vote Democrat...when we execute criminals we take votes away from the dems.

That’s why they are against the death penalty.

Yes, we should fight abortion because it's the right thing to do. Just like we should keep sending our military to fight and die to protect Democrats right of free speech, no matter how stupid that speech is.

We should always do what is right, no matter if people don't appreciate it or understand it. And if we don't do what is right for purely political reasons, that makes us no better than them.

No they shouldnt fight it, bc usually they lose. Ans their own arguments clash. By calling themselves pro-life, while bannign partial birth, they put a young or old woman's lif ein danger where she can die. That is not "Pro-life" The conservatives are putting a womans life at risk where she can and has died, and they walk around calling themselves "Pro life"
You see the Liberals have one argument, and that argument never clashes as does the Converatives. We are pro-chice, and we don't put any life in danger, or excerisise anyones rights.
Absolutely, Conservatives should fight abortion, but i haven't seen one good argument to this day that hasn't clashed. Untill then, figure one out.

abortion is not democrats choice ,it women choice.be live or not young women get pregnant ,but they not ready for baby.just give birth is not enough.baby is big responsibility.all women don't like to depend on some body or adoption,so many way women need to be ready be a mother.so please think softly. politics don't have to butt in every personal matter.

Abortion is legal. Why would cons want to fight a losing battle? Policing a civil war is the other losing battle cons face.
