I see where a court justice is tired of rich kids flaunting the laws that they should comply with...just like everyone else!
I see this as a young spoiled rich kid who felt kicking her feet and crying in a tantrum would sway the courts to do what money couldn't do....keep her out of jail.
The question is....why is Paris Hilton any different than you or me? If we broke a law...were placed on probation....and then violated probation we get to face the courts for violating the laws!
After reading many of the questions on Yahoo about "bad cops" many responses seem to be "why do they think they're above the law" yet cops AREN'T above the law....nor is Paris Hilton.
Remember the old saying "What's good for the goose...is good for the gander."
Break the law...either pay the fine...or go to jail! Since Paris Hilton is the heiress of a vast amount of money...and judging by her lifestyle...I seriously doubt any court cost or fine would come close to putting a dent in her weekly allowance from daddy! It's time Paris Hilton took responsibility for her actions!
Good job judge!

I think it''s so overblown but it does seem to capture a lot of peoples attention and the news people will exploit this as long as it gets ratings. I think the judge got Po'd because the sheriff's office over stepped their bounds and changed what the judge had decided in the case. And then she had the audacity to make the judge wait 2 hours for her while she had someone put her make up on! the way she reacted and her whole attitude on life shows me that being rich alone doesn't make anyone happy. But really 45 days in jail is not a life threatening sentence unless she is so mentally incompatent and in her mind makes it more then it is. I mean come on she will only have to complete the 23 days she has left or 21 what ever it is.

Good! she'll still make out like a bandit in repeatedly doing interviews on television and probably writing a book about her experiences! I for one don't feel sorry for her as others have done less or nothing and go to jail because they did not have the resources and the Media presence to do the same! So much for Justice and mercy for the poor and minorities!

You know the sad part of this is all this Paris Hilton stuff occupying so much of our attention and the news.
A little celebutante, who is famous for being nothing more than a stupid hot rich party girl gets so much coverage. Simply amazing!

I agree with the judge tossing her back into jail.
the sheriff putting her on home detention, for a medical.. shesh anyone else they would have sent her to the medical center in the jail give the medicine needed and then back to the cell.. It's a crock they sent her home because of a "medical" condition. if that was the case, anyone would bet home detent. on a mecical condition.

I feel sooooo much safer now that this ego maniac judge has taken control and put this hardened criminal behind bars. Now that crime is on a down turn we can take the time of our law enforcement people and our justice system to take on the real dangers to society, those 115 pound little women who are really 250 pound gang members in disguise. WE need to really look closely at our judges. How about that sick idiot that was behind the bench on the Anna Nicole paternity hearings. These judges are a much bigger threat to us than Paris Hilton.

i think of its great that Paris is going to detention center via fact it is going to definetely supply her a style of existence and how cruel it fairly is to you. i do no longer think of she'll ever study her lesson I recommend with the way she is she's in all probability going to come back out saying that the adventure replaced her existence and maximum probably make orange suits right into a manner could have purely like those ankle bracelet issues that i've got look already been worn via different celebrities. Yeah precise approximately getting herself pardoned she's nevertheless a U.S. citizen and he or she broke the regulation, she purely needs to study that in case you brake the regulation no count number in the adventure that your prosperous or no longer you're nevertheless going to detention center. i've got not heard something approximately her mom, yet i'm advantageous she's purely as stupid as Paris is- Like mom, like daughter.

The grown spoilt brad cried & called for her mommy in the courtroom?? Sheet man, did she think she was going to be hung by the blond hair? What an over reactor.
Good for her. And still she can't empathise with other humans, she just thinks it is all so unfair. Well - the rest of the country also has to pay if they decide to break laws - she is in a better position to pay than many others who may loose their home or car by being in jail and missing work. What is she missing? More cocktails.

I think the judge did the right thing. The Justice system should be the one place where everyone is treated equally regardless of money or celebrity status.
It's a shame that this is getting so much attention when there are so many other things going on.
