USA never won any serious war alone. Remember it.
The glorious Red Army captured Berlin killing 9mln German soldiers and capturing 5mln POWs.
Germany was defeated by the allied power, but mostly by the Red Army.
PS. Definitely, many US history teachers should be fired....

It took nearly two years for the US to decide to get involved and then it was only because the Japs attacked Pearl Harbor, Oh and by the way Germany declared war on the US not the other way round.
The British stood alone for those two years while the US looked the other way, they were bombed the like hell and still they hung on and finally defeated the Luftwaffe before the US ever came in, this enabled the allies to have a foothold in Europe, the consequences of Britain capitulating in those early days would have been catastrophic not only for Europe but for the US as well.
Most Americans have this ridiculous naive attitude that Europe would have all been speaking German, while they would have languished in peace and security, Hitler called the US a Jewish paradise and there was already plans to attack the US once Europe have been resolved, remember please the technology and brains that got the US to the moon was 90% German, think about how that would have affected the US If things had been different.
Yes there were many brave Americans, but it took all of us to defeat the Germans, and the Russians lost more than anyone in doing so, before Pearl Harbor FDR knew he somehow had to get the US involved, because unlike the blissfully ignorant American public he knew the horrific consequenecs that was facing his country if he didn't.
The bottom line is, the US had no choice.

The soviet union claims to have invented a lot of things they never did, including first air flight. They did put Sputnik in space as a first!
It was the Russian Winters that did the most to defeat the Germans, and Russian's as well on that front. They had a reason, they were being invaded, we were not!
Though you may have done some good fighting, you did little compared to the US, and we had a war going on in Japan as well!
As far as speaking German, a little over 150 years ago, there was an attempt to make German the "Official" language in the US. It failed by one vote! Americans primary language then was not English!
I feel no ill will toward Russians, in fact I think they are great people, but please don't try and rewrite history!

Dull John, Hitler betrayed Russia, not the other way around. There were many things that cost the Germans the war. The U.S. played a major role, but so did the English and Soviets. Another big factor was the harsh Russian winter when Hitler attacked. If that had not been the worst winter in decades it's possible German would have won, but who can say for sure? The U.S. still would have gotten the bomb first and that probably would have ended the war in Germany

The European western front of WW2 was essentially nonexistent when the US entered the European theater. At that time the Germans had only 1 front, the eastern against Russia, to contend with. A protracted land battle between Russia and Germany with no pressure from the West would have ended very differently for Stalin who was killing as many of his own people as Hitler was. That also doesn't account for the lend-lease money this nation funded the Allied side with for the entire war. It was not the Russians who pushed into Germany and defeated the still strong German army in their own nation .
Your revisionist history is simply leftist attempts at demonizing the history of this great nation.

Who is it you're speaking to? Americans? British? As an American I think anyone who says the "speaking German" BS is an idiot. America did not win the war alone. The Allies won. Plus the Soviets lost millions trying to win the war. It can be safely said though that without the US involvement the nazis would not have been defeated.

It was an allied victory.
1. Polish mathematicians provided valuable help in breaking German codes and cyphers.
2. Resistance fighters helped in obtaining valuable intelligence as well as disrupting German war efforts
3. British and American strategic bombing crippled German industrial capabilities.
4. The Soviets kept enough German troops tied up to make a second front possible.
5. The invasion of France forced Germany to fight on 2 fronts.
6. The Lend-Lease act provided valuable materials to allow the allies to continue fighting.
There's more, but it wasn't just the Americans, and it wasn't just the Soviets that defeated Germany.

Russia lost 25 million fighting that war -
The US became terrified of the Russian's almost immediately thereafter - They knew -
The British were almost exhausted the Commonwealth was too far away and the Americans were by and large liability - the lease lend program beggared the UK It was paid off just this year
The US "lent" the UK weapons and ships they were about to throw away - when they sold on instalments the equipment at a huge mark up Gee thanks
Russia - is more than Hollywood has told you - Unfortunately Hollywood is the history in the US
Sad just sad

Germany was unable to wage war successfully on two fronts. If either the US or the USSR had not been fighting them, they certainly would have held out longer. However, German manufacturing capability had been pretty well reduced by that point, their military was just about in tatters, and morale was almost non-existent (Compare to Japan, which was willing to fight to the last man). Had the USSR not been involved, we would have won, it would have just taken longer. Had the US not been involved, it seems unlikely that the Soviets would have been able to hold out. If the Germans had been able to devote their forces to the Eastern front, and wait until the weather turned, the outcome would have been different. By the end of the war, the Soviet military was reduced in many areas to horse-drawn wagons, and the people were starving. Stalin was able to throw massive amounts of people against the Nazi machine, but even the weakened German forces would have triumphed eventually. In the end, it all came down to resources and willingness to carry on the fight.

It was the allies. Russia and the US took out Germany in WW II. Actually Russia was mostly responsible. And its if Germany had not betrayed Russia then we would be saying Heil Hitler right now. Russia did help a lot in the defeat of Germany and the Russians were the ones who captured Berlin first and probably found Hitler's body.

Dude you need to seriously review your history, Germany was running rough shot all over Europe, Our Allies in Europe were begging for us to help them, and on Dec 7 1941, Japan attacked us at Pearl Harbor. The Untied States entered the war and Aided our Allies. Until the U.S. engaged not only Japan but Germany, the tide of the war started to change with the UNITED STATES PROVIDING MUCH NEEDED REINFORCEMENTS TO OUR BROTHERS OVERSEAS, especially with Germany Turning on Russia or Russia turning on Germany which ever story you believe. If the U.S didn't finally get involved in the War Germany would have Became almost unstopable, if they would have crossed the pond. The U.S, CHANGED THE TIDE OF THE WAR, and gave money to Poland, France, Russia, Britain, Japan and Germany to rebuild there countries.
One last thing, it has been said, that Hitler was not ahppy of the timing of Japan's sneak attack on the U.S. Hitler had a plan that after he took all of Europe, He was gonna invade the U.S. on the East coast, he wanted Japan to attack on the west coast, and Mexico to attack on the southern border. The U.S.(WE) Probably would have not won a 3 sided war and all of us would be speaking German, Japense, and most of us speak Spanish already.
