Anything that has long shelf life.
Pre-packaged foods, cans, dehydrated food. Even cheese that is covered in wax will keep for a long time.

I'd think canned beans, corn, fruit.
Dried salted meat kept in a cool place.
Dehydrated potato flakes.
Nuts like almonds, brazil, peccan etc.

What will really become scarce will be fresh fruit and vegetables and maybe drinkable water. You may want to look at growing fruit and vegetables in your garden if you have one or even in small pots.

I don't think it will extend the life much over the stated shelf life on the package. The best way to run an emergency food supply is to use it and restock it. This way you always have it, but none of it gets outdated.

Bottled water, bottled water, and more bottled water- if the power plants go off line, tap water can become contaminated and you couldn't boil it if there was no electricity

Non perishible food items- tins and boxes, that you'd be willing to eat cold, if there was no power supply to heat it
Tuna
Spam
canned chili
canned or dried fruit
crackers

Id store the following;
Canned beans
" Stews
" Peaches

Id' miss my bread milk and coffee, but protiens and carbs would have to take priority, the peaches would be for a tasty treat more than anything.
