What is your opinion on abortion? Do you agree with it? Are you totally against it? Is there any exceptions?
Some examples of situations:
~The mother is on medications that would be harmful to the baby, and cause birth defects
~THe mother is going through medical treatments (ie. chemotherapy, radiation, x-rays, surgery, etc.)
~ It would be harmful to the mothers health (ie. could cause death)
~Young pregnant mother
~ Has had several pregnancies, or abortions
~ Unfit mother
My own opinion is there is always the choice of adoption (many willing parents out there i am sure) for 'accidents', however if it will be harmful to the mother, or child medically or physically, (ie, on medications, treatments, etc), then there are certain times that it is okay, however in that situation, all precautions should be taken to prevent pregnancy if you are not ready............

I wanted to find out peoples opinions, not start fights. Yes i agree, you should prevent pregnancy if its not optimal time, or situation for a child. But i pose this question to you, yes there are disabled children out there, but is it fair to do that to them, if you know that is how they will be? I believe there isnt just pro or anti abortion opinions, but sometimes on the fence, or exceptions that people think of. A baby is a beautiful thing to be treasured, but if you KNOW your baby will be severly disabled, is it fair for them to live like that? In my opinion, there are certain situations where abortion can be considered, but 'accidents', where neither baby or mother are at risk, you should search out other options, such as adoption, or trying to raise the child, etc. However, People have rights to opinions, and to do what they wish.

I believe there are exceptions to every rule.
A young careless girl should give it up for adoption
One who has had multiple abortions deserves to have her labia sewn shut...
A woman on meds or harmful to her life should possibly have an abortion, but then again she should have been more responsible not to get pregnant, if she knew it could be detrimental.
Rape I think that is purely up to the mother
An unfit mother give it up for adoption

I know most people won't agree with me on this one, but I'm totally against abortion - no exceptions.
Doctors are very quick to suggest abortion when there's a possibility of complication - they are frequently wrong. A fetus is a human being and has the right to live, no matter what the circumstances.
A child who has birth defects is absolutely not worth less than a child without - it just makes life a little different for the parents. Ask anyone with a downs child - you don't love them any less! A child being conceived is always a miracle and should be treated as such.

Well if it would be risky to the mothers or babies health, I think that she or "they" should take proper precautions so they will have nothing to abort in the first place, as for being young, I think that the young ones SHOULD suffer the consequences for what they have done instead killing an unborn. In situations where the young mother just will not accept responsibility for the baby, then I say put it up for adoption, there is alot of happy couples that would LOVE to have a child but they cant. I dont agree with abortion at all. But I look at it this way...If they do it unprotected, they are asking for it, but when they come up pregnant they dont want to take responsibility. In a different example: If I had the money to pay my bills, but instead I blowed it on something other than my bills, whos fault is it? I would have to live without lights, or food because I spent the money, they should have to take responsibility for what they done instead of getting an easy way out. Its really sad. You know God knows a baby before you ever realize you have concieved. Why would you spit in Gods face and go against his word of NOT KILLING and after all a baby is a gift. How would you feel if you gave your partner a gift and they tore it up and threw it in your face? It would hurt your feelings right? Well look at all God did for us.....why go against him like that? Just my own humble opinion. Good luck!

Whoa! You're asking the million dollar question here!!!
Generally speaking, I think I agree with you. That said, I am a guy. I am not a doctor. I don't know when life starts. I don't know what the circumstances are for any particular person when they choose to have or not have an abortion. I can't get pregnant from rape or incest or just being too stupid to use a condom. So ultimately I think it is none of my business.
I don't like abortion. I do think, however, that if we put as much time into creating situations where girls didn't feel the need to get an abortion as we do fighting abortion itself, I wonder if there would be less abortions in the first place. Hmm...

I'm a man so I can't have an opinion on the subject, right? I'm against it except in very rare cases where you must choose the mother's life over the baby's, in cases of rape or incest, and possibly one or two other cases. Adoption is almost always a better alternative. I am not against birth control, I am for education in schools (but parents you need to take the lead here), and I believe if you are mature enough to have sex you are mature enough to have a baby.

My personal opinion is that just as you said there is always the choice of adoption. The child is a Gift, the child was meant to happen or the life would not be there. And God knows there are plenty of people who would go through almost anything to get to have a baby.

The only way it would even cross my mind to have an abortion is if was harmful to my health, like cause me to die. Because my baby would need a mother not only for 9 months but after the birth its whole life. I wouldnt leave my child without a mother, and i have to be a mother to my children who are already in this world. But under no circumstances do i think it is right for any other reason. But hey people can do whatever they want nowdays right? sad but true.

I am completely against it. If you can't and the consequences then don't have sex! Adoption is always an available option. I don't understand how women can have an abortion and turn around and go have unprotected sex again. There are millions of people in the world that would make great parents that can't have kids. If you don't want your baby or can't take care of him/her put them up for adoption.

I think abortion is only O.K if the mother's health is at risk. Such as the case of chemo, or other major health crisis. In every other case abortion is in my mind immoral and should be illegal.

I find my self on the fence in this issue, yes it should be a choice, but not reckless used. If the pregnancy was to cause serious health issues to the mother and or the baby itself they I would be willing to be okay with abortion. If someone was raped and pregnancy has resulted I would be willing to be okay with abortion, but because a women has been irresponsible at any age and a pregnancy has resulted I am not okay with abortion.
