raspberry leaf tea is a traditional way to start. its not recommended before 37 weeks as your baby isnt full term untill then. it works by making the womb contract. you can buy tea or tablets, try your local health food shop or alternative therapist. faahl, the hottest curry on the menu is another way to go, make sure you've got enough antacid though :-), sex is great too sperm releases a hormone which softens the cervix so thats worth a try. try doing some squats to but dont over do it and make sure you warm up first! try swimming also as it uses every muscle in the body, the baby will like being supported by the water and may make him or her wanna come out and have a look! good luck.

im 38 weeks, and tried castor oil. It wasnt bad at all. people make it seem like its horrible. They DO make castor oil that has no smell or taste, Ive been contracting for 2 days now, and i think the baby finally engaged. try it it might work for you!! :) I think its making changes on me!!! I was only in the bathroom a few times. Its really not that bad. Im ready to be done LOL. 38 weeks is longgggg enough!!! I took 2 tablespoons with a glass of orange juice. I just mixed it right in the juice. Its the best thing to take it with. Dont mix it with soda or it will not work.

I wish things would hurry up to and I'm 36 weeks. I just want him out. These contractions I'm getting are driving me nuts because my stomach is constantly getting hard and that is so annoying. I hate this hot weather, it really sucks.

the last month SUCKS...but at 36 weeks the baby is still considered pre-term..so just hang in there..but when you hit 37-38 weeks, you can take evening primrose oil orally or insert it vaginally to help "ripen" the cervix...good luck!!!

Wait 4 weeks
If this your 4th child than you know that you are way to early to be thinking about having the baby now. Almost every women is very uncomfortable and miserable the last few weeks of her pregancy but we stick it out because its best for the baby... having said that, I do know how you feel. Im 33 weeks and cant wait for the due date to be here.

Ok, first off, remember that 37 weeks is the safe point...ways to help induce labor. One thing that I do know is having an orgasm helps increase your contractions, and can help jump start them, but first you have to rippen your cervix...wanna know what does that?? ***! That's right...men's juice....have sex...have him ejaculate into you as far in as he can go...the stuff in his "stuff" helps rippen your cervix (this is believed to be a myth, but my doctor stands beside it 100%) IF you are starting to dialate and efface, then orgasms will help you jump start your contractions...whether you orgasm through masturbation or through sex...an orgasm will help (again, this is sometimes believed to be a myth, but my doctor stands beside it 100%)

I don't want you to feel like I'm attacking you but, honestly, I'm tired of seeing all the questions about how to speed up labor or wanting to be induced. The baby will come out when he/she is ready. Unless your life or the baby's life is at risk, there is no reason to speed anything up. Trust me, I had a HUGE belly and could barely walk at 36 weeks. I was miserable, but you just have to deal with it and wait for the baby to be ready. Congratulations and good luck!
