Sorry girl. This is standard stuff for teen/parent bs. Your parents sit up nights worried about you and your future. It is their job. It is your job right now to become more independent and private. You are practicing making your own decisions and generally getting ready to be on your own. That means sometimes you will feel untrusted. Sometimes they will feel they need to be overprotective and generally butt into your business.
If it is not this, it will be something else. You can try telling your parents about yourself and giving them a big hug and kiss for caring. But whatever you do, they will still worry and second guess both you and themselves.

I am a mother of all boys, and for that I am thankful. But I know if I had a daughter and something wasn't right, the first thing I would think of is she might be pregnant. Either your parents are very mistrusting, or your past behavior with them has caused them not to trust you much. My now 16 year old had lied to me so much about so many different things, I barely believe a word he says now, so it's sad when he's telling the truth and he's not believed. But he did that to himself. Just go with the flow, take the tests without complaining and if you have nothing to hide, your parents will see you are telling the truth. The more you argue and fight about it, the less they will believe you. Good luck.

WTF? Wouldn't prolonged periods mean you're not pregnant? Well, you could do a pregnancy test and show them. But if you are having period problems you might as well go along to the doctor to get it sorted. What tests are they doing? A gym exam might not be necessary for period problems, I know some people where the doctor didn't look. Also, it should be just you and the doctor. I know you're a teenager but I'm pretty sure you're allowed some privacy. Say that to the next doctor. Of course your parents might get suspicious but if they are submitting you to tests for this, it's ridiculous. And do they think you're a non-virgin or actually pregnant? Weird.

As a young lady, take control of your body. First of all, sex at any age - unprotected - is dangerous. Even if you're not having full on intercourse, you can still get infections from "fooling around". If you're periods are not right (to you) and you are getting nervous about your parents thinking you are pregnant, you should still go to the doctor. Having problems "down-stairs" is nothing to bat an eye at. And, it's not that your parents don't trust you. You are their daughter and I'm sure they are concerned. If you have never been to a gynie, you could ask for one that you're comfortable with. This is part of the DOCTOR thing that should be left up to you. You can ask for a female or male OB/GYN. I have had both and to tell you the truth, it really doesn't matter to me. It is just what YOU'RE comfortable with. Good luck to you Sweetie. Take care.

Tell them that you are saving your self for the right one/marriage and you're not pregnant. Going to a doctor to find out about your periods isn't a bad thing though. Ask them if the doctor proves that you're still a virgin and not pregnant will they trust you more. In this day and age it's hard to tell sometimes.

They're concerned about you, esp. since many girls do start losing their virginity at teen years. Tell them to back off and that you're telling the truth and just prove to them to give them a peace of mind because they are your parents and they're the only ones who's going to overreact lol. Just follow along and don't object or they will keep suspecting. Just be like whatever ok I will prove to you.. results.. not pregnate.. parents calm down and realize they were stupid and should have trusted your word.

It is important to go to the doctor, as prolonged periods could be a symptom of something. Prolonged periods aren't a symptom of pregnancy, however; no periods at all are. Tell them the truth.

Sweetie maybe they are just tring to help you get regular or whatever. You should be happy your parents care about you enough to notice(prolonged periods) most parents walk around with their head in their AS* while their children are looking for someone to notice they have problem.

Well since you know the truth, when they find out you are not pregnant send them on the biggest guilt trip ever.
All you can do is await the negative test results and then stick it in their face that you told the truth.
