Something you didn't mention and to be considered...If you aren't running AnyDVD in the background during the burning process this could be the reason all by itself...

Re: How do I burn a DVD (VIDEO_TS) to DVDR using Nero (what settings)?
Sure, just select the "Video DVD" compilation type, and the template should start out with its own VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS folders. (If it does not have these folders automatically, then you selected the wrong compilation type.)

So just drag the contents of your VIDEO_TS folder into the one in the compilation and then you can burn it as a normal video DVD.

HOW are you converting ? Nero vision (can't recall exact name) ?

If so and it burns to the DVD OK, and player still can't play it, mayber the player is incompatable withthe media. (Can happen)

All the VOB files, IFO files etc should be in the VIDEO_TS folder

If you place the burned DVD in PC and launch media player, and tell it to play DVD in that drive does it work ?
If so it implies a compatability issue between the discs and player
Some players can ONLY read +R media, some -R
Which media type are you using.

Alsosome cannot read ANY RW media

Did you try it on any other dvd player? your dvd player might be too old and some just don't have the feature of playing dvdr's.
