Someone in the same industry as i am was nice enough to speak to me the other day about the ins and outs of the business. I would like to drop her a thank note, but i am not sure what to say.

Write something sincere and give concrete examples how information she provided helped you out. Give thanks for her giving of time from her busy schedule and all her efforts to help you out.

Just wanted to take a moment to thank you for the advice that you had given me the other day. I am sure that it will help me in my day to day functions, and to help me excel in my new position. I really appreciate the time you took out of your schedule to explain to me some of the ins and outs of our business. Again Thank you.
