We've got a crew of eight heading out. We're staying at MGM Grand. I need some suggestions for a real classy joint to get a steak and scotch. Preferably no more than $125/ea.

There is ONLY one place: Hugo's Cellar, downtown, at the Four Queens.

I go there quite often so let me fill you in:
This is a cocktail place through and through. They got it right because they will pour you a DRINK (you can get any and every single malt Macalllan 18, Macallan 25, and the like), at an unbelievably reasonable price. You're already paying for the steak (and the unbelievable service) so they take care of you on the cocktail end.

It's a Gourmet Room. You and your buddies will go and you'll be thrilled that you aren't at Ruth's Chris or some other expense account place.

They aren't a chain, they are tied to the casino to absorb liquor costs, they aren't on the strip ripping off tourists from Des Moines like at some god-forsaken Emeril's.

It'll run you around $125 per and it's worth every penny. I don't know where you are from but there's no place like this in your hometown. It's been there forever (for a reason).

You can thank me later.
