I think it's messed up that the judge and the sherrif's opposition to each other, brought her out, then now they're putting her back in not for the 23 days, but for 45 days now!

Paris Hilton is being raked over the coals by a judge who thinks he's God. She had a drink and drove a car. Who among us hasn't done that for christsake. That is if we're being honest. Then she drove without her license. These are motor vehicle laws she broke. She's not a criminal, but she sure is being treated like one. People on these posts are SO happy to see this happening to her because they say they don't want celebrities being treated any differently than the rest of us. But the huge point is that none of us should ever go to jail for breaking motor vehicle laws. Our laws in this country are ridiculously strict. There are so many injustices done in our system and believe it or not, this is one of them. Paris is being punished BECAUSE she's a celebrity and alot of stupid people out here are loving it because they haven't seen the seedy side of our justice system. They must be too young and naive to know what goes on.

I think she should go back. Even though she's a celebrity, justice NEEDED to be served. I kinda feel bad but.....she has to learn and just goes to show you that money can't solve anything. But I just got finished reading an article stating the judge NEVER gave permission for Paris to even leave jail!!!!

I think it's good. Anyone (no matter if it's a celebraty or not) should get that stuff done. It's not good at all. And I don't think the judge should of brought it down to 23 days-but it's good it's back to 45!

face it d00d she thought she was pulling a fast one there was NO medical condition at all she probably sucked off the sherrif and thats why he let her out...and second she deserves to spent the entire length of her sentance in JAIL i was pissed they cut it down to 23 now justice is being served with her serving her FULL 45 days (though techincall they cut her a break on the 2 days the day she went in at 10pm counted as 1 day and thursday she left at 2am and they counted that as another day) so im saying she already got 2 days off her 45 day sentence so she needs to shut up and suck it up!! (not the sherrif that is :P ) and just deal with it...as they used to say:

dont do the crime if you cant do the time...think about THAT Paris! :P

oh yes in the words of Nelson from the Simpsons:

HAHA!!

I think its AWESOME! I was personally outraged she got good behavior before setting foot in jail and then to be let out with in 3 days... 10% of the time served... thats a crock! I know many people that serve more than 50% of their term reguardless of the offense!

"My message to those who don't like celebrities is that punishing celebrities more than the average American is not justice," Baca said. (Associated Press, 2007).

45 days???? THAT IS AWESOME!!!!!!!!

And lock up that idiot sherriff Lee Baca too. He had no power whatsoever to release her. He should have known full well he can't release Princess Paris from prison without the judge's approval!

"It's not right!" shouted the weeping Hilton. "Mom!" she called out to her mother in the audience. (Associated Press, 2007).

Absolutely correct!!! It is not right that Baca got her in more trouble! Gourmet cupcakes when she got home is what she received and MTV. What was Baca thinking???

I do hear he is up for reelection, but he cannot take the law into his own hands.

I definitely disagree. I was outraged when they let her out in the first place, because if you or I had committed the very same crime under the very same circumstances, our behinds would be tossed in the slammer faster than anyone could blink. Why should she get out of jail just because she's famous? Famous people need to abide by the rules too. They're there for everybody's safety, including her own.

well she thinks that because of her status she can get away with it. Well no she can't she is not above the law and is a spoiled little brat. She blames everyone else for her mistake when it was her driving the car drunk.. no one else.

So i say its good she is going to jail. Let her learn her lesson. If you do the crime then you must to the time.

Give her 45 days in the general prisoner population with any medical or mental problems addressed within the prison as provided for by my tax monies. Law does not exist absent enforcement. One nation, one set of laws for everybody, Extreme punishment for disobeying a court.

Paris Hilton is no Richard Nixon.

I doubt she'll do much of her time sentenced, but I'm satisfied that at least the judge had the guts to send her back to jail. They'll find another reason to let her out, but I hope this serves as an example to the idiots in charge that the rest of us are sick of the preferential treatment that money seems to buy!
