No more reduced, 20 day sentence. Back for the FULL sentence. Taken, screaming, from the courtroom, going back to jail. (I saw it on Fox News.)
Do you feel sorry for her? Not me! I applaud that judge.

No, and here's why...my fiance's Mom was killed in a head-on collision by an intoxicated driver. Period.

what if she would have killed someone while driving drunk?? I think people shouldn't just be slapped on the wrist for driving drunk, the punishment should be more harsh....

Paris Gets a DUI

On Sept. 7, 2006 police arrested celebrity socialite Paris Hilton in Hollywood on suspicion of driving under the influence after she was spotted "driving erratically" while out to pick up a late-night burger.

Hilton was charged Sept. 26 with misdemeanor driving under the influence and on Jan. 9, 2007, her lawyers entered not guilty pleas on her behalf to a single count each of driving under the influence and driving with a blood-alcohol level of .08 or above.

Less than a week later, Hilton was pulled over again, this time by the California Highway Patrol. She was informed that her license was suspended in connection with the September DUI charge and she'd signed a document acknowledging she was not supposed to drive.

Hilton pleaded no contest Jan. 22 to a reduced charge of alcohol-related reckless driving. The pleas earned her three years of probation and a $1,500 fine. Hilton also was required by the courts to enroll in an alcohol education program.

A month later, Feb. 27, Hilton — still with a suspended license — was stopped by Los Angeles sheriff's deputies for driving "a new Bentley" at 70 mph in a 35 mph zone "in darkness without her headlights on." In her glove compartment was the document she'd signed Jan. 15, acknowledging she was not allowed to drive while her license was suspended.

she is not going to be locked in solitary confinement... she will just have a private cell, in a special part of the prison... they won't put her in the general population...

That's great news! You've just made my day much better! I for one do not feel one bit sorry for her, she did her crime and has to do the time. I'm so sick and tired of celebrities getting all of this special treatment. Hopefully they'll keep her in for the full sentence this time. But you never know with all of the money her family has they may be able to pull some strings again. Lets hope not!

I do feel bad for her! Sure she is a spoiled brat skank, but she is being treated unfair.

She should not have been given more time for the sheriffs decision. Also, she is being locked up in solitary confinement, when a typical person with her charges would not be stuck in a room for 23 hours a day. She is being made an example of because of the media attention. That is also an injustice. Justice should be blind!

I agree with sheriff baca, "My message to those who don't like celebrities is that punishing celebrities more than the average American is not justice,"

I truly do not understand all you guys on Yahoo Answers. Paris Hilton is being treated like a criminal. She had a drink one night and drove. She drove without a license. Big deal. They are motor vehicle laws. They're punishing her way beyond what is normal. Of course I don't think she should be treated any differently than the rest of us, but the point is that NO ONE should be thrown in jail for motor vehicle infractions. I can't believe everybody is taking such glee in what's happening to her. Obviously none of you have seen the injustices in our court system. Just wait till you do. Then maybe you'll have a little empathy for what even Paris Hilton is going through. There are alot of young naive people on these posts who obviously haven't experienced much of life yet to know how unfair our laws really are.
