Oh brother, where do I begin.

There are a lot of untrue assertions in some of these answers.

1.rukidding-He wants to end federal entitlement programs. Does that sound like a liberal?

2.conservative1st- He said our policies are to blame.

3.diogenese_97- welfare and other social programs are still run by the states themselves. As far as Social Security goes,
he cannot eliminate that himself. Congress has to approve.

4.Aquaria- If he sounded like an idiot during the debates, how come he led in Fox's poll afterwards most of the night?
How come he finished first in CNN's poll after their coverage?

5. Harley- Isolationist? He said in the Fox debate that we should trade and have open dialogue with all countries.

I understand if you don't agree with his position, but don't go making things up.

Ron Paul may be right about the war but he is still way off base on other subjects. He would end social security, medicare, and any other government run program. He is a strict conservative and thinks that the government is only good for having an army and providing police. If you are poor or need aid you are on your own. Be careful when you look at a candidate, make sure you know his stance an many subjects and not just the one you hear about the most.

Here we go again our daily nagging about that loser Ron Paul, the Libertarian trying to get the Republican nomination.

Most people have never heard of him and certainly aren't giving to his campaign. He is a LOSER.

You say don't tell them you like Paul. Are you trying to encourage people to lie or be sneaky. If Paul is the right candidate people will proudly proclaim their support for him and won't care who knows it.

Do you know how to become a deligate to the Republican national committee? I think you better check it out. You don't just waltz in and sign up.

I like Paul and many of his ideas, but there is no way he can be elected and there is no way he would get most of his ideas passed; he is far too polarizing and could never bring people together to get anything passed. Because we live in a country of represenation it takes a lot of compromise and I think Paul is too hard headed. I wish a third party could find more success in this country, because that's where I think Paul fits, but it just isn't going to happen any time soon.

1) I know about Ron Paul.
2) He is hopeless. He blames America for all the world's problems.

I like Paul. But hes not willing to go far enough in my opinion. I think we as a country need much more serious change than Paul is offering. Hes a good candidate, and would make a good President, but hes not the best in my view. Hes too strict a conversative for my taste. Hes right about some things, but dead-wrong on others.

He has gotten my attention and I would actually consider voting for him...I'm kind of surprised myself that I would consider voting for a Republican from Texas, but stranger things have happened! GO RON PAUL!

I think he would make an excellent compromise that people from both sides of the aisle could support. He is libertarian, which means he agrees with conservatives 50% of the time and democrats 50% of the time. This is what we need.
