I've read that Alyssa Milano may be one of the hopeful recasts of Brenda Barrett on General Hospital. (Or at least the fans are hoping so.) Anyone heard anything else about this? What are your takes on Alyssa playing Brenda?

The thought of them recasting Brenda was annoying, but the thought of Alyssa doing it makes it less painful! I would love to see her give it to Carly and also see how her adn Sonny get along.

I love Alyssa Milano and think she would be a really good recast for Brenda, although, I sure do wish Vanessa would come back.

Ain't gonna happen.....no recasts for Brenda.....that's like recasting Luke or Sonny. The one and only Brenda (Vanessa Marcil) loves GH, she's always considered it her "home"......a place to always come back to. I am surprised the Vegas show she's been in the last few seasons has lasted this long. It's not a good as it was when it started. So watch out if it gets cancelled....My bet would be GH here comes the real Brenda.....!!!!!

I don't want alyssa to be on gh. She is a big time star (sort of not really) she would look so out of place on General hospital. She is just too well known so i don't think anyone will be able to really see her as brenda .
Anybody notice how the actors on charmed suddenly started showing up on gh

Now THAT would truly be interesting. But "fans hope" is a very far cry from reality.
I also read in Charmed magazine that she has a new show that is supposed to be on the Fall line up.
**scratch that. I just read her blog and her pilot was not picked up.

Hi guys... Just a quick note to let you all know that “Reinventing The Wheelers” has NOT been picked up. I wanted you to read it from me, rather than in the press. It seems that with the ABC shows “Brothers And Sisters”, “October Road”, and the Grey’s Anatomy spin off, there was just no room for a new female driven show on the fall line up.
My only sadness is that you guys won’t get to see it. It’s really a special pilot and I think you would have loved it. Maybe someday it will be leaked to the Internet. ;-)
I am a little disenchanted by the process but have faith that everything happens for a reason.

I've heard the rumor too, but I agree with others that GH won't let anyone but Vanessa Marcil play Brenda... that would be like finding a replacement for Genie Francis playing Laura Spencer (when she is on), Tony Geary playing Luke Spencer, or Maurice Benard playing Sonny Corinthos, or Steve Burton playing Jason Morgan.... you just don't replace people like that.

NO BUT THAT WOULD BE AWESOME!!! I would love to watch Sonny jugle emilia,kate,carly and Brenda hopefully it is true but she seems she might think she is too good for GH????

well she'll never have the charisma as the original Brenda but i guess if she's cast then we'll have to accept her.

That might be interesting, although I don't think she is as likable as Vanessa Marcil.
