I know a little boy named Taz, and he's the most adorable thing ever. I'm considering it, and I want to know what you think. Im going for unusual, so dont suggest aything like Michael, Johnathan or Jacob, but please do suggest some others that are uncommon! Thank you :)

Look. Give your child a fighting chance at a good education and a career. Why do you want to limit him with a cartoon name?

Paging Dr. Taz? I don't think so.

It is known that the name we are given pretty much represents our character. Every body knows who Taz is from the cartoon, and I would not like a son of mine behave that way :) Give him a name that will inspire him to be the best he can be, and even if he doesn't understand his name, you will be surprise on how from the very beginning he will start showing trace of his character that is proper to his name.
Here are some suggestions (keeping in mind that you want unusual names):

Adcock = Man; earth
Adiv = Pleasant, grateful
Adoré = Loved Child
Abelardo = Generous and solid
Adoni or Adonai = Lord; my ruler
Alasdair or Alastaire or Alastar = Protector
Amzi = Strong
Amadeus = Love of God

I agree with a few of the posters in that Taz is cute as a nickname. See the links below for some suggestions.

I think the name Taz is very cute but as a nickname. Just think about you childs future and he'd react to his name. Now as for uncommon names try mixing your name with the childs father's name or a close relative. I personally like the names...

Darien
Trey
Tyrie

There's others but I really can't think of them right now. If I can think of more I'll message them to you.

Choose something traditional and keep Taz as a nickname. He'll thank you later in life. Try something like Tyson.
Think of all these wedding couples of the future.
Taz and Apple
Audioscience and Brooklyn
Pilot Inspektor and Rumor
Poor Kids, Nicknames are one thing, but your child will have tis name for the rest of his life. Be nice.

I love the name Taz because it's so different and you could just picture a cute, little, energetic boy running around in the backyard and you come and say, "Taz, it's time to go to soccor practice." Wow, got a little carried away there. But I absolutely love that name.

I think Taz is a nice name, but it makes me think of the Taz Manian (sp) Devil...

I know if a little boy named Rudd and before that I had never heard that name.

Taz sounds like a joke to me. If I heard it, I'd keep to myself and then laugh with my husband when we got in our car. I'm sorry, that sounded really mean, but you don't have to name your child after a cartoon character to be unusual and unique.
Aidan
Quinn
Troy
Tarren

Hayden, Dominic, Wentworth, Lincoln. these are the only unique names i could think up, but when you name someone taz, some kid or elder is going to think "Now why did that poor boy's mother name him after a looney toon?"
