What do you think?

Well it isn't the most comfortable thing in the world. Yes it hurts but it isn't that bad from what I here. There are medications that can relieve pain now. I had an emergency c-section and before that I was doing well dealing with the pain. I know people that have had babies with no meds at all and they did fine. Our bodies were made to have babies so don't get yourself too worked up about the pain. You will forget it shortly. If it was that excruciating to have a baby people wouldn't have more than one.

The honest answer, yes it does hurt. But it doesn't hurt as bad as many people make it sound. When I went into labor my friends and family prepared me for the worse and with their advice I expected the worse. It's not nearly as bad as you expect it to be, it's also a pain that many females wish they could go without. Although the outcome is worth everything you go through to get it. Once you hold your child for the first time you don't think of all the pain. It'll eventually comes back but you get a brief moment to enjoy the child you just brought into this crazy world. It's a great feeling (I was more or less in shock that I could see the child that had moving inside of me for so long). Also it was my first pregnancy so I really didn't know about labor and everything. I didn't take any classes and only had my husband down here with me.

Everyone is different. Yes, the majority of women experience pain of some sort during labor but there are some that don't. I honestly believe that some of it is due to lack of preparation (since there really is no way to prepare for such an event until you've gone through it and actually know how it all works) but there is genuine pain. For c-sections the pain is after the delivery instead of during because it is major abdominal surgery. Given a choice I'd much rather have a vaginal delivery because recovery time is much quicker. There is also some discomfort and sometimes pain during the pregnancy itself as your body has to carry more weight and has to stretch to make room for the baby. Hope this helped!

Does it hurt to have a baby - OH YES!

I have 2. With my first - I begged for an epidural. They could have poked me in the eye with that needle and it wouldn't have hurt as much as labor. Contractions are like menstrual cramps multiplied by a million. The pain keeps coming in waves. I was given some medications to calm me down during labor, it actually made me sleep to the point that I was snoring. But when a contraction hit, I raised up in the bed and screamed. When the contraction was over - I went back to sleep. But the funny thing is when the baby is out and you see their face - you forget all about it.

not really doesnt hurt if you end up beingin pregrnated first time but few months you will feel cramps and having upset stomche and threw up ,having morning sickless and eating all kinds of weirdest foods that you will even not notices til youre whole body changing .but hey it great when you can feel and watch the newborn baby growning inside of youre belly by feeling the child moving around inside of you .even that not it i heard that beingin pregrnate when youre alike 5-6 months that the baby willlin listening everything outside such music , smells,taste ,touches ? plus it awesome to have baby shower , sing to the child , etc.. but it does hurt if you gave birth to the child if youre the beinginer .but if you usedo it the hard pain then you wouldnt worrying so much about it later on the future .also there are three chooses you can gave birth having alike threw sugery ,or in the bath tub ,in the nornal labor on the hositopal bed.

pain is a relative thing ..... i have had three babies...yes it hurt but I have hurt worse with my migraines....then again i am also one of those irratating people who have a really easy labour time...longest one was 7 hours and that wasn't all hard labour; last one was 2 hours give or take a few minutes;
but I will tell you this however much it hurts you aren't going to even know it hurt as soon as you hear that babe's cry and see his/her face
congratulations!!!

Yes it does but it is not a undo-able pain. It hurts for a time and in the end is all worth it. It is a pain that you can forget. If it was really that bad don't you think all women would only have one child and call it quits?

I disagree with everyone who says that you forget the pain after the baby is born. I have had two babies... one c-section and one all natural. I am haunted with the pain. It's horrible. But just remember that the pain does not last forever. It will go away and you'll be fine... but I doubt you will forget it. :) Good luck.

The only thing that could possibly hurt worse is getting your guts cut out of your body by a butter knife... Slow, agonizing and painful.

But worth every moment.
