He don't want to put nuclear missiles in Europe, he just wish
to create a new cold war environment by deploying a fake nuclear weapons space shield, in order to restart the focus driven economy of that era... Bush wants it because pulling out of Iraq is becoming more and more pressing, and without war, the US economy will just flatters away... Most of your industries have moved either in Mexico or China, your saving rate is about 1% (the lowest in developed countries), your real estates is controlled by the Chinese, only remain weapons factories and R&D's... Of course you have many other kinds of services, but the fact is that the virtual economy set be the great thinkers, is feeling weak, and may collapse, drowning the US with it to the bottom...

He's not. He's talking about a nuclear missile defense system. The interceptor missiles would not be nuclear-tipped themselves, but designed to shoot down nuclear missiles that were fired at Europe.

Are missile defense systems nuclear? That's dumb. Isn't that like using a hammer to kill the fly that lands on your nose?

He's not trying to put nuclear missiles there, he's trying to put antimissile technology there. The antimissile rocket works on impact, not devastating explosion.
The anti missile has to hit the missile coming in to be affective.

We are a War Economy.
If we don't instigate a little... then.. what's the point of spending all this money on defence?
Building and protecting other countries is BIG business... IRaq war is almost over... and well... the economy isn't going to boom on its own.
if we just sit here, we will go into Recession, and so will the rest of the World.
Its time to move on... and start focusing on something else!

1. Follow the money. Who's getting the contract to build this boondoggle of a system?
2. Bush found a treaty that he hasn't broke yet.
3. There aren't enough terrorists in the Middle East that hate us for our presence there, so Bush thought he'd motivate some new ones in Eastern Europe.
4. Follow the money.

They are defensive. While it is obvious to me that there is a huge difference between Offensive and Defensive systems, I can see that a lot of people don't understand this.

I don't know, but I too am anxious to place nuclear missiles in Europe. It only makes sense.
Europe is alot closer to our enemies, geographically speaking.

I think it was Roosevelt who came up with the big stick theory.. if we show we are done playing other countries will think twice about giving us a hard time.
