I'm 19. I've never been with a girl or a guy. I think about guys, does that make me gay or do you have to actually have sex to be considered gay? What counts as a loss of virginity?

Hi, thinking about guy's does not make you gay, there's more to it then that, would you feel comfortable living your life in a relationship with another man, or would you keep wondering what it is like with a woman?,i was lucky i suppose always knew i was gay, i really don't know what else to say you are the only one who knows if you are gay bi or straight, i sincerely wish you look.

Well, if you don't ever think about girls at all, then yes you are gay. If you think about girls in any way sexually, then I would say that your bisexual. You don't need to have sex to know that you are gay or not. I never had sex till I was 19 and I knew that I liked men, and didn't like women. As far as loosing your virginity. You have to have penetration to loose your virginity. So you will have to engage in sexual intercourse to loose your virginity. Be sure that you choose the right person to loose your virginity to! First times are always the best and most special!

Well, it depends on what you are thinking about when you think of guys. Being gay means that you are a man who is only sexually attracted to other men. If you are sexually aroused when thinking of men and are not when thinking of women, then you would be gay. If you are sexually aroused when thinking of either men or women, then you would be bisexual.

The loss of virginity means engaging in a sexual act with another person. It doesn't matter if the sexual act is with the same sex or the opposite sex, and it doesn't matter what the particular act is (i.e. oral sex is still sex).

Being physically, sexually, and emotionally attracted to and more comfortable with guys than with gals is considered gay, whether you do anything about it or not. And with gays and lesbians, any sex play counts as loss of "virginity."

No, you don't have to have sex first, any more than a straight person has to have sex before they're straight... though if you're unsure, it may help you sort it out. If at 19, though, if you're only thinking about or looking at guys in that way, it seems likely that you are. I was in my mid-20's before I did anything with another guy, but knew long before that... and then I felt stupid for wasting so much time. As for loss of virginity... I think that depends on the person.

Being gay is not about "the act". "The act" is just a by-product of being gay. Many think if you dont engage in "the act" then you are not gay. Simply not true.

You could lock me in a windowless room for the rest of my life and I have no contact with another person ever again, and I'd still be gay. It's who you are. You are attracted phyiscally AND emotionally to other men.

You can think about anyone you want it is how you react sexually is the way sexual preference is denoted. You don't actually have to have sex.

If you look at a guy (particularly one in skimpy clothing or naked) and you get an erection but don't get the same reaction to a girl dressed in similar attire then you are gay.

If looking at the girl gets you sexually aroused but not the guy then you are straight.

If both get you "going" then you are Bisexual.

If neither do it for you, then you must be numb.

[BTW - your avatar picture does it for me].

Loss of virginity? In general terms it is the act of penetration, whether it be the penis into the virgina or into the anus (guy - giving or receiving, or girl if she is into that) since that is usually the most intimate of intimate acts. Some feel that oral sex will also count.

You can decide for yourself.

Good luck.

I don't think sex has anything to do with whether or not you're gay. It has more to do with your preference. If you don't know what that is, you might want to do some exploring (even that doesn't have to be sexual) with either sex and find out what you like and what you don't like. Virginity (in my opinion) is lost during sexual intercourse of any kind. But that's just my thoughts on the matter.

You can be a gay virgin. If you think about guys most likely that is your orientation. Loss of virginity is climax with a partner, basically.
