I sure do and I'll tell you why...
Pac was good no doubt..but weezy got something different happening, altogether unique. Pac was real no doubt I can imagine Pac progressing but because he was tragically cut short will never get to the level weezy might aspire to. Its all potential

Definitely.

As a writer, he's is definitely in the top 5 for current artists. He's a very prolific writer and has since released many albums, including underground ones.

He's as creative as Tupac was and knows how to write rhymes. I like how he has stepped away from what generic rappers have become with very different kinds of beats, meaning, more realistic sounding.

The only reason anyone would ever say no to this is because Tupac ended up being one of hip-hops tragic sacrifices. For all we know, Wayne could even be better, or he may not. But in this era, Lil' wayne is a lot like what Tupac was in his era. The same goes for Biggie as well. Wayne writes as good as they do, but you're all looking at the standpoint of those two being gunned down in their prime.

To whoever said they don't understand, you have to dig a bit deeper to understand his lyrics. Its not the same repetitive crap as everyone else.

Look dude, Lil Wayne is not even a good "rapper". Im not trying to hate on the man, but his wordplay and his raps are mediocre, and basically they suck. When Lil Wayne and Mims are the headlines of Hip Hop, we know we are in trouble. Lil wayne does not even need to be mentioned in the same sentance with Tupac, and he doesn't even need to be mentioned at all. You should listen to some Kool G Rap or some Big L.

hell no. come on now Lil wayne better than pac naw homeboy are you stupid. Lil wayne cant touch tupac, put it like this tupac was gunned down almost 11 years ago we still talkin bout him right now, lil wayne just raps about stupid stuff like guns, killing, and women Pac rapped about real things like growing up in the hood. Lil wayne is a good rapper yea but he aint even the best alive right now....Eminem still alive

R.I.P Tupac Amaru Shakur

Tupac isnt just known for his lyrics or rapping, he was living the thug life. Everything that went down in his life, like his war with Christopher Wallace or his shootings is what makes him him. The legacy of Tupac is something that noone will live up to. Of course his songs were a big part in his career, but his life outside of music is what makes Tupac the Makavelli.

im a pretty big fan of tupac, and i know this isnt the answer to the question asked but i think its funny how most people think tupac's Thug Life was him being a thug. Tupac came up with the idea "Thug Life" but it stands for something.. "The Hate U Give Little Infents, **** Everybody"... it has nothing to do with being a thug.. its reflects tupacs childhood.

no way. if what lil wayne does starts to pass for truly good rap, then im switching to country music. i dont need to hear anymore beat and hook rappers. im tired of the played out blin-bling, club-hoppin', ho smackin', ***** shootin' b/s that passes for good rap today. lil wayne will never compare to the truly good rappers from back in the day. he's no de la soul, tribe called quest, public enemy, or whoever else you wanna name, nevermind comparing him to tupac.

i remember when rappers used to have talent. now all you need is a beat, a catchy chorous, and some lyrics about killing, womanizing and fronting a lifestyle to us that most rappers will never be able to afford

ok no doubt tupac was a fabulous rapper..but lets be honest..if he didnt die..would he be as "legendary" as he is now? i mean rappers go thru a crap phase all the time...look at 50 cent..his first couple songs were hardcore but lately..he`s been kinda soft..weezy is a great rapper also..i think however that nobody will surpass tupac..i think that just cuz each rappper has their own element..
