I have a 2004 nissan sentra I left my hazards with my lights on last night and the car wont start. I tried to jump it with 2 different cars and 2 different cables so i know thats not going to work. What are my options now? will it be expensive? Thanks!

was parked outside a friends house normally i just put the hazards on but left the lights on by accident. I tried to let the cars sit but it just wont work. By the way... my windows and lights still work..very dim, slowly but they still work. The jumps didnt work and I tried two different cars. My friend told me to take the battery out and bring it to get "recharged"... thanks for the help ... I hope its just the battery :(

You most likely need to get a new battery ($50 to $300) but you should be able to get one at autozone, costco, or somewhere similar for pretty cheap ($65) Even with that battery completely dead though, you should still be able to jump it

What was wrong with the car that made you park it with your hazards on?

If the hazards were working when you put them on, then I'm thinking the battery is the least of your worries.

Quick answer:

Let the two cars sit for five minutes hooked up to get SOME charge back into the dead battery. (engine running)

When the dead car starts, DON'T rev it up while the cables are hooked up. You can fry the alternator of the "good" car.

do you still have warranty? check the cables in your vehicle comin off the battery. check all your fuses. change your battery. if none of that works, have it brought in to your nearest nissan dealer.
