They are a good excuse for an expensive jolly at our expense. it may or may not lead to good personal relationships between international leaders or whatever they are but the agreements have so many loopholes they are useless.

G8 said they would end poverty. Bob Geldoff and Bono on TV today said G8 had done no such thing and were using weazle words to skirm out of the deal.

G8 is a load of what we Londoner's call "Cobblers".

Just another booze up so that the outgoing mob can meet the incoming mob and so on.

The words 'resounding and success' have no meaning when coupled with the letter G and the figure 8.

G and 8 = gate. Should be called ConGate or something.

Sorry but reaching a consensus is difficult

Do you imagine on the other side what would be the world without such international meetings and multilateral agreements ?

It would be a sum of unilateral actions, just like the US attacking Iraq.

China could seize some African countries for the resources
Brazil could do the same
Nobody would feel a moral obligation to do more internationally than other countries.

And what were you actually expecting!!!

Of course they promise to promise something but then do nothing except for the UK and USA, where their soldiers get killed in all the war zones on a daily basis at the moment.
