i need help in finding proper devices. ive changed vista to xp. my problem now is, ive install all hardware except for modem device because i cant find the compatible one for my laptop (compaq presario v3000). i think the modem is build in for vista. does anyone knows where can i find the hardware device? and one more, theres no sound coming out from my laptop too, ive installed the soundcard device already but still theres no sound.

Whats really sad is how ob geek continuously says in his answers Vista (and XP) runs perfectly well on a Mac yet how much it sucks on a PC.

Its the clueless people like you who make Vista look so bad.
I dual boot Win XP MCE 2005 / Vista home premium 64-bit (many say X64 has less support) im a heavy gamer and have yet to encounter ANY compatability issues at all.

You used a generic XP CD. Wrong!

You must use Compaq's XP Recovery disks. Buy them from Compaq.

Should have bought a Mac. It's sad, all the crap you Vista adopters have to put up with.
