ok let me get this straight-
newb- newbie, new person
noob, n00b- annoying person such as (using WoW as an example) those asking for gold or expensive items for free, waiting for you to start killing mobs and then going after the chest themselves, stuff like that

noob is when you are new and not expirienced player
like you are new to the game and don't know to play it very good and they tell you that you are noob because they think they are better then you and that is in most cases not true they are just playing the game for a whole day.
