If your faucet is leaking one gallon every 10 minutes, that adds up to 144 gallons a day, 4,464 gallons a month, and 53,568 gallons a year that you are paying to let go down the drain, thus MONEY down the drain. If you have a single handle faucet, you have either a cartridge, or seats and springs that need replacement. If it is an older 2 or 3 handle, you have washers and seats and possibly a stem that needs replacement. Turn off the water to the house, remove one of the parts, and take it with you to get replacement parts. Good luck!

You either have a bad gasket/washer (if a two handle faucet) or a bad cartridge (if single handle). You need to turn off the water supply and disassemble and replace the bad parts. A steady flow will raise your water bill a lot.

Depending on how fast it is running it could be from a half to a full gallon a minute. Put a gallon pitcher or milk jug under it and time it. Replace the facet or replace seals in the handle.
