Some say the funding for Syria to purchase missiles comes from Iran. If it's true...how does this affect the Middle East, Israel, and the U.S.

Syria has bought weapons, including missiles, from Russia for decades. So did Iraq, India, Egypt, and Libya, among others. As far as funding, Syria and Iran have been allied since the Shah was deposed by the followers of the Ayatollahs, so that's nothing new either. It doesn't affect the Middle East any more than it has for the last 40 years, so don't get too excited.

No, Syria is NOT purchasing missiles from Russia (but then again, they might be). If Syria were purchasing missiles from Russia, Syria would have destroyed half of Tel Aviv or Jerusalem by now.

Syria has the right defend it self from all enemies.
they do buy missiles from Russia the also get arms from Iran they have a defence agreement same as Canada and the US.
and as a person of middle eastern background I know they won't attack anybody unless attacked.

Syria buys short-range surface-to-air misslies (SAMs) and hand-carried RPGs only.
The SAMs are intended to destroy attacking Israeli planes and helicopters. The RPGs are effective against attacking Israeli tanks.

Those missiles/rockets are for defense purposes only, that's included in the contract agreement.
However, Syria sometimes breaks the agreement, reselling RPGs to Hezbollah. Last year, Hezbollah destroyed 45 Israeli tanks just in one week with old Soviet-made RPGs (produced circa 1980).

They don't have to. Saddam sent most of his bombs to Syria while the lame UN was making up their minds on the invasion. One for his own generals has already said that.

Maybe they are maybe they aren't. But you can just about bet they are from N. Korea. Saddam did, and it you dig deep enough you will find that the bulk of the WMDs that the left loves to claim don't exist, are in the hands of the Syrians , with a little help from russian friends.

If they're not they should be. Soviet made missiles are high quality and reliable and for the next few weeks Putin will be having a buy one get one free sale.
