Ask someone else to paint for you. If it is your job, start looking for new work. It is NOT healthy, and just because it has not harmed your baby yet does not mean it wont. Call your doctor if you are a painter, ask for a note to releive you from your duty and Social Security will pay you while you are unable to work. If you work under the table you need to start looking into options such as welfare, W.I.C. [women, infants and children], or family support. If it is just a room you are painting, ask someone else to paint for you, or pay someone to do the job.
[it doesnt mater if it's latex, oil base, whatever it's all bad for the baby]

We built a new house about 4 months ago and had to paint all the walls in the entire house so I asked my OB if it was safe. She said "Yes, latex paint is safe. Getting on ladders is not. Also avoid any type of stain-that is not safe to inhale during pregnancy." So that came straight from her mouth, yes, latex paint is safe (according to my OB).

Yes, latex paint is fine. It's the oil based paints and primers you have to worry about. Still, you should make sure the area is well ventilated.

Make sure it's in a well ventilated area and use a mask. Latex is far safer than oil based. I just avoided it all together and had my husband paint while I supervised from afar. :-)

I just painted my sons room while 2 mos. pregnant. My OB said it was ok. Different doctors have different opinions though, so I would check with yours.
I used Benjamin Moore paint, I really like it as it's not as stinky as others I've used in the past.

I think it is alright, but first consult your Dr., if he says yes then go ahead but make sure that all the windows are open and that you have a fan or two blowing the fumes out of the room.
I painted with my first and the Dr. said it was just fine.

Aslong as there is no lead in the paint then you can paint with any kind of paint, just trybto wear a mask so that the fumes dont bother you.

I wouldn't risk it. Some people say it's okay with a mask.I avoided painting when I was pregnant.

Yup. I painted the entire nursery when I was seven months pregnant. It doesn't hurt the baby.
But you can ask your doctor if you are worried.
