I wouldn't recommend it...the pressure doesn't keep it in..you will have blood around you in the pool water, and yes it will drip down your leg when you get out...happened to my mom once when she was younger...she said it was rust and the kids believed her...

No, do NOT do this.
Do you really want to come out of the water to have blood running down your leg?
Speaking from experience (at least 22 years) water does NOT stop the flow, it only SEEMS that way.
Like taking a bath, it looks like it stops, but it doesn't. As soon as I step out of the water to towel off I have blood on my towel.
Please use a tampon or do not go swimming.

The water wont stop it.
Just wear the tampon...
Thats why they are made so you can have a more
active life while still on your period with out a pad
Its not a big deal its better like that anyways

ok, i hope your not asking this because you're scared of using tampons. they are perfectly easy to use, as long as you relax! if not, then the water may help your flow slow down, it depends how heavy it is that day, but please dont do it unless you're desperate and you have a really lite flow. even with wearing a tampon, i suggest wearing dark-colored bathing suit bottoms because once i went swimming during my period and leaked some. try to do what makes you comfortable, and if you dont feel comfortable with a tampon, just dont swim. good luck hon!

y would u want to. Thats nasty. The blood will leak out if its not plugged in with a tampon. A pad will get all wet and nasty. Don't do it.

Sadly hun, you just might want to hold it off for a while, the chlorine in the water can give you a really bad infection in there! wait until after it stops and then go have the biggest pool party of your life! I wouldn't recommend wearing a tampon because the chlorine gets in there and mixes with the blood!!! It's nasty!
