After striking out on all scores, that is 0-6 on their six of 06 agenda; Pelosi states that “their principal accomplishment, so far, is not reflected in the legislative scorecard,” If I translate that from liberalese does that mean that they lost but are going to call it a win so no ones feelings will be hurt. I mean come on, losers are losers aren’t they?
During their first 150 days as the House Majority fewer than 30 bills -- few of them significant -- have been signed into law. Included in that legislation were 13 bills to rename federal property, five to extend existing law, and eight that were either co-sponsored by GOP Members, or passed without opposition.
That should make all who voted for them feel really good, at least they can call a loss a win and feel good about themselves. http://majorityap.com/emanuel_democrats_empty_agenda

They managed to convict a man of a non-crime. Scooter Libby’s imperfect memory—not willful deception—gave rise to the charges of lying under oath and obstruction of justice.
Given there was no crime and Fitzgerald knew the identity of the leaker in the first two weeks of this dog and pony show the charges should've been dropped, but the Dems needed a 'win'. There should have been no referral, no special counsel, no indictments, and no trial. The “CIA-leak case” was a travesty. A good man has paid a very heavy price for the Left’s fevers, the media’s scandal-mongering, and President Bush’s failure to unify his own administration...........so I guess you can call that a Dem victory...and if Bush doesn't pardon him--they will have two.

I think that their major accomplishment has been that there is now a better climate of bipartisanship in Washington. When Republicans controlled all three branches of the government, there was little incentive for them reach across party lines in order to compromise. Now, they have to listen to each other or nothing will be accomplished. While Republicans were in complete control, Bush never vetoed a bill, which is almost unheard of, but, of course, there was no reason for him to do so because his party was catering to his wishes at every turn. Therefore, it was much easier to push legislation through, because the Republicans had the votes to do exactly as they wished, without having to worry about a potential veto from the President. I think it's way too early to call the Democrat's control over the Legislative branch a failure; they don't have a huge majority, so compromise is required.

Even though I am an ardent supporter of the Democratic Party, I believe that both parties have good and bad points. I also believe that it is best for America when no party is in control of all three branches of the government. Everybody's voice needs to be represented, and it's good for Congress to have to work together and compromise for a change. Democrats have things they can learn from Republicans and vice versa; the best answer often lies somewhere in the middle.

They have done a lot of investigating and called a lot of hearings but as far as something useful....I would say not a damn thing. That is pretty much normal for them though. If they wouldn't waste so much time trying to figure out how to bash Bush some more then maybe they could get something accomplished.

They did do a great job of selling out those voters who put them in office though.

What? Nothing I know of. I wonder why they were elected. I never, ever thought Democrat's had a brain, so I guess, their elected Congress is proving it.
