I've never been a big Broxton fan, but everyone here just loves him. After the game last nite, need I say more? I just wanted to cry, and cry, and cry............OUCH!

Broxton is a young guy and will have some bad outings. Anyone remember Gagne before the 84 straight saves? He was a mediocre (at best) starter. Broxton is not ready for the closer role. That's why we have Saito. In emergency, he's the best we got.

Give him a break. We really had 3 errors in the 9th. Kent's throw pulls Nomar off the bag, Nomar juggles the next one on the transfer, then he doesn't toss the ball to the pitcher and gets beat to the bag on the next one. Nomar makes one of those plays and game is over.

I have been a Dodger fan for many years and watch them closely. Broxton has been either very good or very bad all year long and I am not not sure he is the guy. When you bring in someone to win the game for your team you need to be certain what you are getting and I don't believe they get that from Broxton. If the Dodgers are going to the playoffs this year they will have to make some changes.

Broxton is still a young guy, he is only 22 years old! We have Sammy for at least the rest of the year, and this experience that Broxton is getting right now, even though we hate him for it, is invaluable. The big test will be to see how he pitches the next time he pitches, to see if he can rebound from this and forget all about it. He was also the victim of some very bad defense. 'Nuff said.

thats why some people are always meant to be set up men and some others are always meant to be closers.

to be a closer isnt just about 99 mph on the gun....it also plays a big part in the mental department.

i believe broxton was drafted as a starter....maybe the dodgers will eventually switch him over to that.

as for last nights game....it was defintely tough....broxton pretty much couldnt get an out.

He was a victim of bad defense, Nomar looked lost out there, and broxton got plastered because he was throwing fastballs down the middle to get himself out of the inning. Hopefully saito will be back soon because broxton is obviously more comfortable as the setup man

As a life long Dodger fan, last night was hard to swallow. Bad defense. It doesn't happen to Nomar a lot, but he looked really bad. Today is a different day!
