Please save your money. Piercing schools are not respected in the industry and you won't get a job as a piercer by going to one. They are a scam. I hate to see people waste their time and money.

You need to get an apprenticeship if you want to be a peircer. Make sure you have current first aid, CPR and blood-borne pathogens certifications. Take an anatomy course at a local college. Then put together a professional resume and start asking and applying at piercing studios. If you get turned down, ask why (they may be able to offer some tips on how to improve your chances) It's very competetive, so don't get discouraged. Having customer service skills helps too (you have to deal with clients). You may have to pay for an apprenticeship, but it's pretty normal now. You will not get paid while you learn. (it's usually 2-3 days per week so you can have another job at the same time)

Good Luck!
