while you can look up online, for his/her past and next grade level, also i have a couple of other suggestions, talk with your child about the major subjects they were studying, such as math, english, science etc, then go on from there, look up a math tutorial online, or english, and move on to what seems the next area,,,,,,,,and contact your local colleges, especially community ones, they often have special programs for youth, that are inexpensive, and the child can learn a new subject

Just run a search for "free lessons" and you'll come up with plenty. You can also add in the subject and grade level for a more relevant search.
